Only One from DOTM
I'm going to limit myself to only one figure from DOTM--although to be honest, I only planned on getting Prime for ROTF but then Hasbro announced Leader Starscream...
So, fellow Seibertronians, if you could recommend/purchase one figure from the DOTM line, and only one, which one would it be?

Leader Sentinel. Great toy and a leading character.

I prefer Leader Ironhide.

I would second that. Sentinel's a leader class, leading character, and has a transformation worthy of the same. He reminds me of ROTF Prime... looks great and has a cool transformation. I especially love the window chest transformations.
While I liked Ironhide, his transformation to me is too simple, even simpler than some Deluxes I feel. So if I could get only one, it'd be Sentinel. Especially after seeing DOTM.

I'm in the Sentinel camp for reasons specified above. He's the only leader so far to interest me and he's great. Transformation is complex and enjoyable.

Ehh, some of these mentioned are notable, but lets be honest. I'd say wait to see what Human Alliance Soundwave looks like.
Leader Sentinels ALT mode is pretty awesome, but his robot mode is ok. not much head movement there and his hands could be better.
Shockwave is petty good.
If.....if there were going to be a leader Megs...that might be worth holding out for but I don't see it happening. or at least soon I don't.
Leader Ironhide looks decent, but I've seen on this site good and bad.
It would be a tough call honestly for just one.

Why would you only buy one? Is it a budget issue? If so, you could get three or four Deluxes for the price of one Leader.

It all depends what your reason for buying is. Accuracy to the character? Enjoyable transformation?
I have Leader Ironhide and have held Sentinel Prime in hand, and I must choose Ironhide. It's true, his transformation is a bit simple for his class, but the figure looks great in both modes. I also have Shockwave and Megatron and like them both. Shockwave in robot mode only, but Megatron is good in both modes. I am still hoping for a Leader Class of him, with that badass shotgun added.

Not necessarily a budget issue. It's more of a limited-shelf-space issue. And a I-haven't-even-got-around-to-opening-a-HFTD-Bludgeon-&-Masterpiece-Skywarp issue. Which all falls into a general, I-don't-want-to-buy-things-for-the-sake-of-buying-them-anymore type issue, which might make my starting this thread seem ironic to some of you.
I want one figure from DOTM to cap off the movie trilogy. Got back into Transformers through the first movie (my first thought: a lot's changed since Beast Wars!), and it became something of a hobby through my college years. I've been feeling my interest in the franchise beginning to wane after being disappointed by ROTF (the movie), and haven't felt an overwhelming pull to get any one figure since Leader Starscream... unless Hasbro decides to do a fantastic set of Beast Wars characters when Universe comes back (are there anything to the rumors about Rhinox?), I think this might be the last figure I get in a while.
When it comes to figures, the things I'm drawn to are accuracy and a certain amount of elegance--not always synonymous w/complexity--to the engineering (notable exception: j'aime bien le Premium Bumblebee, even over later representations). For example, my favorite figure of all-time is the ToysRUs Optimus Primal (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/toys/beast-wars-reborn/optimus-primal/847/), followed closely by ROTF Prime. I also love the way Universe Sunstreaker's head transformation works--was fixated on that for hours after getting him.
It seems like most of the comments are suggesting either Leader Sentinel or Ironhide; I had a feeling that was going to be the case. I'm likely going to hold off on buying my DOTM figure until after SDCC, just in case Hasbro reveals what's coming later for the line... although I don't think a Leader-class Megatron will sway me--my Megatron's a purple dinosaur.
Thanks for the suggestions, keep them coming!
