Oh my God. That's the BEST black repaint of Rod I've ever seen. Give him a goatee and I'd be swooning!

I don't collect the straight "redecoed for the sake of redeco" figures, but if I did, this would be a must buy, as they've taken the traditional, bland black repaint and given it some character, especially in altmode. Gorgeous.

O.K. so now I've changed my mind- I'll get the Habro MP Hot Rod, and this version of Roddy instead of the other. The color Scheme is working for me. It does remind me of Motormaster......

Too much blue IMHO. I'd much rather see a deco like the flames on Shattered or Breakdown versions.

BUT, I love that the visor down makes him look like a different character a bit. You can kinda give him a different head sculpt. Niiiiiiice. :grin:

The only thing I don't care too much for is the turquoise on the chest but the toy itself may be another shade.

This would be my first black repaint so I'm a little intimidated to get this train going.

e-Hobby has updated their listing for MP-9B Black Rodimus Convoy to reveal the first shot of the upcoming figure's packaging. The listing also mentions an exclusive comic written by Hidetsugu Yoshioka. However, if past e-Hobby exclusives are any indication there is a good chance the comic will not be included with imported figures. The packaging image is mirrored below.

Yeah, I'm getting this. I have nearly all of the MP figures and for some reason I'm just drawn to that over the top teal color. I just hope that he's the "fixed" version and not the original version of the mold.
