I'm usually a fan of the off-screen characters in the movie lines, like Bludgeon, Lockdown, Brawn, etc. But why not go with some more mainstream classic characters? If you've read enough of my toy forum posts you know I want a new Ultra Magnus. I'd like to see a movie universe rendition of him, maybe a retooled Optimus mold that combines with a trailer. And who can forget Rodimus? I think he's legendary enough to deserve a movie universe toy. Maybe he could transform into a Corvette ZR1 (or a Ford GT like his Alternators counterpart).

What do you guys think? Should these two get introduced to the DOTM toyline?

Hm, I agree on Hot Rod (not Rodimus though, just him) but I'm not sure on UM. He's cool, but I think being a repaint of Prime wouldn't do him justice. It's too significant of an Optimus look, unlikely as it is I'd rather see a new mold. Or a repaint of Sentinel as I think the vehicle mode's a decent TFA reference.

I think hot Rod could be cool and relatively simple. I was never a big Rodimus fan but I liked Hot Rod as the rookie character which he did pretty well.

I thought that since Sentinel was red in the movie, they could have called him Rodimus Prime. And when Optimus blasts him at the end, it could have been payback for the 86 movie. Hell, it even involved Megatron.

It's possible that this could happen going buy the later waves of ROTF i mean who would have thought at the begining of the line there would be a Mindwipe and Bludgeon.

I think Hot Rod and Ultra Magnus as said by LOST Cybertronian are A list characters for TF4 i dont think they would waist the big money earners in the tail end of the line thats why we get beloved B C list characters to fill the void.

If they did i agree that i would sooner see a Sentinal re-paint with a new head and weapon as for Rodimus as said i would want a Hot Rod he's a much better personality fun and energetic and not depressed like his alter ego.

With all the rumors of a TF4 or another Movie Trilogy (if not rebooted completely) I'd say hold off on these guys.

The reason.......... 07 movie Arcee and then ROTF Arcee. I don't want to be duped into buying lets say a repaint of Sentinel Prime called Ultra Magness only to find out 8 months down the line TF4 is going to happen and a completely different UM comes out (or Rodimus or Hot rod)

Hopefully someone at hasbro and the movie buiz has some sort of idea other then to take our money and run if questioned. I'm all for those characters....but not if later I'd have to buy different ones and wasted 20-45 bucks pending size.

Personally, I would like to see Sentinel Prime repaints as Alpha Trion. That cape and face is screaming for A3. If not A3, then let it be Rodimus. As for Ultra Magnus, I want him to be a repaint of the Movie Prime just to keep the tradition alive.

Those would both be pretty cool. I think Ultra Magnus could be good as a remold of Sentinel Prime, with a new head and new weapons (maybe a huge hammer as an homage to Animated). Rodimus would be cool too. Personally, I really think Mirage should've been called Rodimus, but oh well.

I'm seeing Sentinel being repainted into Maggie, but at the same time there's so many other deco's they can use on the Leader figure, and they're mostly using black.

Rodimus, I don't see what mold could be used, other than the future Dino figure.

I'm just hoping Takara has some sick DOTM DVD exclusives like ROTF did.... yes Dusty Mudflap and Skids are cool.

I am really not diggin' this particular movie line, which is a good thing. I will save a ton of money. I will admit that I really like the Leader Sentinel Prime figure though, and I would consider for two seconds buying a repaint of Magnus. But then I would realize one is enough and get over that idea. I love that figure though. It is pretty solid. But I will be done with this line when I find a Leader Ironhide.

Hot Rod would be hard to peg but not impossible. Maybe Sideswipe? But I'd be down for an Ultra Magnus 2 pack with the either white Voyager Optimus and blue Leader Sentinel or the white Deluxe Optimus and the blue Voyager Sentinel. Either Sentinel would need a new head.

In fact, the Deluxe & Voyager set would be preferable to me. It just seems like a better idea. And would keep the cost down.
