Mine is: Beastmachines Ultra sized Jetstorm. jetstorm has been out the longest on display compared to my other transformers I have on display shelves. I've had him on out on display for almost 10 years now.
Obviously some of us don't stay at the same address forever & some of us move around to different addresses. Obviously some of us constantly re-organize our display shelves & no figure stays in the same exact spot forever.

I don't have shelves yet, just organisation lists.
Anyway, the figures that appear in a cartoon or movie have a permanent spot on a planned shelf. Off-screen figures, and especially repaints, tend to fluctuate big time, especially when repurposing comes into play. In fact, my planned Universe 2003 shelf houses the majority of them.

G1 Wheeljack. I've had him out even when not displaying any TFs, before I started collecting again. I'm thinking of clearing off the shelves though, and maybe displaying only him and G1 Ultra Magnus.
I'm not sure I like have shelves of figures all lined up; it seems cluttered, a dust magnet, and I don't have a big place, so shelve space is at a premium. I'm not sure if its that common not to display a collection but I'm gonna try it for a while.

Optimal optimus. He's always been out on display, because well, I have no where else to put him.

An armless, trailer-less Micromaster Overload. I've had him on my desk since I was a kid, he keeps my hands occupied when my toys are in storage (from lack of anywhere to put up shelves) and my hands get twitchy

I've had the McDonald's Happy Meal french fry robot (which I've always considered an Optimus) first on my dresser then finally on my display shelf/shelves since I got it in the '80s. I even kept it in my footlocker when I was in the Navy!
Edit: Pic to show he is not "Fatimus Prime." That's still Energon!

There's your Fattimus Prime right there.
Anyway, I have my collection fully displayed and always have... So... I gues it's G1 Bonecrusher that displayed the longest. I bought him first when I got back into TF's.

Armada Unicron. I never packed him up since I bought him and I got him when he first came out.

Seeing as I've had G1 figures since the 80s then it would be them. Hound, to be precise as he's my first. Although they spent 20 years in an attic they all came out again when I started collecting again.

Yep, he's the one I came in to post. He's been on top of my bookcase since I bought him and rarely moved. He currently has a Galvatron titanium mini figure in his hand (like he's going to eat him), and Robot Heroes Grimlock on his shoulder. I might switch those two out for the minicon DotM Dinobots, though.
Second longest on display is my Masterpiece Prime. He's been on my dresser since I got him. He has also had a Captain America figure perched on his shoulder since the cover to New Avengers/Transformers #1 debuted.

Cybertron Soundwave. He's a big part of my getting back into collecting, I got him for Christmas the year he was released (was it 2005?) and he's been on display ever since.

G1 Bumblebee. Got him about a decade ago at a yard sale. First Transformer toy I ever owned. Lol.

BotCon 2010 DonkeyPunch - I mean, DoublePunch. He's a beautiful figure, and also too big/impractical to put into storage. Also Unicron and Cybertron Primus.

G2 jazz, optimus prime, and G2 devastator- not sure which came first. Had those since the age of 5 or 6- '93 or '94. Cant count the number of times i lost those darn fists and had to glue the windshield of jazz back on as a child- each time resulted in waterworks.

20th Anniversary Optimus Prime. That was the figure that got me collecting when it first came out. He's been on the shelf ever since.
Others that have never been off display are my Binaltech figures. They are currently all stacked in their boxes.
Most of the others tend to be on display for a while and then boxes back up to make room for others.

I don't have a ton of room, so I rarely display TFs in large numbers. Most of my collection is safely boxed away and I'll take out "teams" from time to time to display them - Like Galvatron with Cyclonus and Scourge, or all my Police/Emergency themed TFs, or my Alternators, etc. By rotating them, I always appreciate the ones that are out and will eventually have spent some time setting up, transforming, or cleaning all the my figures.
However, Masterpiece Optimus Prime and Masterpiece Skywarp are permanent fixtures on my computer desks hutch. Why? Because they are my two favorites, and given their size (and Skywarp's fragility) I feel much happier/safer with them out than cramped in a box.

Armada Tidal Wave. He's one of the very few to have survived my Armada Purge a couple years back. He's now part of the ever-growing Decepticon navy!

Still one of my favorite Armada figures. Especially when he's paired with the Sea Team.

As do I. It took me some time to track down a MD version of him, but I'm glad i did. Now I got all three of them and they are tremendously awesome.

Every TF I own is on display on my shelf...
However, if you're talking about staying in the same spot, it has to be Movie 1 Optimus. My 3rd TF, and i put him on the shelf since 2007.
