How come japan gets to have the microns but the united states does not.
I have two conspiracy theories.
1. Americans are not willing to put in the time and effort to build the microns that come pre packaged as model kits.
2. United States of America has strict child protection laws and the miniature pieces that the microns come in are too small and feel more like a child safety hazard.
Feel free to comment.

And yes, "safety issues". Our dear little American children in general ( I said "in general") will kill themselves with pretty much anything-from a rubber kick ball to ordinary bath sponges to spring loaded missiles. There's no telling how vast and horrifying the child mortality rate would be if those tiny Micron kit parts got into the hands of the 5 and up crowd here! It would be another holocaust!

Aside from the government having to "protect our children" argument, the model building hobby is simply not done for kids between 5-12, building blocks like Lego aside. In Japan, it's big business.

No need for conspiracy theories as the answer is probably simple: Hasbro and Takara are two difference companies, selling in two completely different markets.

The part that gets me is that Hasbro isn't releasing blindpacked Minicons. The most casual glance around a toy store or Target will show you that blindpacking is big right now.

Hasbro didn't believe the Gunpla concept really fit well with the current toy buying youth. And it wouldn't, building parts are too small, and what not. Plus, I'm quite sure Hasbro's toys were designed well before Takara agreed to have their way with them.
The last time Hasbro had sprue part toys was back in '04-'05 with B-Daman and even then those guys had the clunkiest parts that I can recall.

The reason we don't have these guys is the same reason why we don't have our own domestic Gundam kits.

Haven't you noticed that Hasbro seem hell-bent on proving their moronitudeness?
