Price hikes mean:
[*]figures will sit on the shelves longer
[*]parents will be less likely to buy them or will buy fewer
[*]there's less profit to be made by scalpers, making scalping less attractive
[*]it will be easier to find the figures we want
What do you think?
For discussion: could price hikes be good for us, collectors?

Just for overall availability, nothing more. It doesn't change the fact we get hurt in the wallet more as well. Way more, if we had ideal distribution.

my concern would be that would mean slower wave turnover than the already slow pace presently.
this would also mean Hasbro would have to game up and make the case assortments not so heavy on one particular figure.

For what it's worth:
That is, current Deluxe figures are effectively the same price as Beast Wars figures.
Even though it's a "sudden" hike, I doubt it'll have any real noticeable effect.

You guys have the yellow blindness.
This just means more BumbleBee's on the pegs longer, because parents
have to keep telling little Johnny he already 213823094820380423 Bumble Bee's, he doesn't need another one! especially at 15$!

the bumblebee shelf warmers will only last for so long, eventually retailers will clearance out/discontinue the current line. plus it looks pretty good for the next few waves of both foc and prime. not to mention the Christmas season starts soon, so just have some patience and it will change......that or hasbro atops making them.

I'm not sure which will give me cancer faster, that pic or my smoking. Then again all I see when I walk into any store is yellow. The price hikes have just about made me give up on transformers altogether and instead focus on MotUC.

The price hikes suck, no doubt. I guess it leaves the kids away from our figures, but we still have two problems at hand:
1) Our wallets are breaking to the point of crying. I have wet pockets.
2) The scalpers will find a way. They always find a way.
