Apparently the pin is for an as of yet not released feature for the AOE mobile app.

Really? I thought the pins were used to activate features on the giant "Stomp and Chomp" Grimlock that's coming out later this summer.

Maybe that too?

Takara's Battle Command Optimus Prime also seems to have the sensor feature that Chomp & Stomp Grimlock has, so it could be for that as well.

Well I already got mine, and I did test it, is a metallic pin, nothing magnetic there, nothing inside to be activated in this toy, might be part of a set or what all of you think already about AoE grimlock. Besides, is a must have figure, astonished looking.
