I'm still on the fence with these guys.

If they do the Decepticon clones, that would probably put me overt the edge, assuming they were decent.

As of now, I'm skipping these as I have no real attachment to the Autobot clones.

Yeah, that makes sense. I own the G1 clones, so there's that old attachment.

Did you watch Peaugh's review? I believe robotmel pointed it out to you. Peaugh does show a "combined mode."

Anybody got these in hand yet ? I havent shipped my POL yet. I would like to see some comparison pics next to a few basic deluxe figures. The reviewers choices for comparison shots sucked. I would like to know if these are the height of a newer shorter deluxe figure or an older taller deluxe figure. Any pics would be greatly appreciated.

I'm waiting on FP's Quickswitch figure. Once that gets in, it should be a day or two and I'll have my POL. I'm hoping by the end of the week, but probably next week...

My shipment with them was supposed to arrive tomorrow, but with the big blizzard coming I doubt it'll arrive. So hopefully Wednesday.

Yeah... thanks for the concern over the blizzard I mentioned. :p Juno was fun, then the one yesterday...

Anyway.

I have no idea if I'll even transform them because the instructions are so confusing! But in robot mode, thyey're good. Nice articulation, nice construction too. The little lion dude is an odd, but nice, bonus.

I love the scale here. I was scared they might be as tall as classics Prime. Seeing that they are deluxe scale make me super happy I bought them. :grin:

Got mine.

Some rambling thoughts:

So...they essentially are Defender, down to the initially infuriating transformation.

They look amazing in robot mode in decent in alt mode. I think they are fragile. There are many small joints that if the figure fell from four feet, it would shatter.

I can't recommend them because I think it is entirely possible to hate them. However, as an adult collector and knowing that we will likely never get any better for these characters, you might just enjoy them.

First time I transformed Cloudraker, it was awful. Second time, it made SO much more sense. The various rotations you have to do are nerve wracking because you turn things that seem like they shouldn't turn.

Let me put it like this, I won't say you have to buy them, but I will say that maybe you shouldn't pass on them.

Somebody needs to do a youtube video of how to get Deisel back into truck mode or I swear I will never disassemble Menasor. Especially that sword/feet/hands/gun/trailer thing.
