Cyclonus would be covered with silverbolt (I usually do per mold unless the list is about redecos and such), but Strafe is a SUper example. I will start brainstorming.

Thanks for your response. As for those three, I think its because a shell implies the robot bits are being covered by a shell and not left hanging under the jet

OK, i will give you that. Do a list like that: Top 5 robots hiding under the vehicle!

That list has to include Leader-class Jetfire from ROTF. And not just under a generic 'Jetfire' name. It's so horrible I consider him to be one of the worst Transformers of all time.

I think the same way. They will all get their just desserts! I am thinking about it now, and it seems it will most likely be flying vehicles. I will try to come up with some more to make it more diversified.

It's a good list you've put together, Will. It spans a lot of eras and doesn't discriminate too heavily against any particular line. I can find agreement in all of your choices.
I also don't think Big Convoy and AOE Galvatron are "bad" shellformers. Big Convoy's mammoth parts form some badass weapons on him that I just can't hate, and Galvatron was screwed from the outset because of how he and the other new 'cons transform in the film: by dissolving into a stream of tiny parts and reconstructing in their new shape, rather than the actual shifting of various identifiable parts seen in traditional transformers. His bot mode subsequently had no need to include vehicle details and so the toy, unable to perform the physics-defying stunts of the film counterpart, had nowhere to put his truck parts but on the back.
