Walmart's Find In Store: Beta /Searching for TFs

Postby Xgamer » Sat Nov 03, 2007 5:52 pm

Ive been playing with WMs new find in store function, which still doesnt work that great. I have identified the script used to search. Only problem is most the TFs don't show up.

Taking a look at 20th Optimus Prime (its an example):
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product. ... id=5026245

There's no find in store option.

So we need to go to a page that has the function in the source:
http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng ... s3&ic=24_0

Now we call the script by pasting the following in the address bar (replacing everything):

javascript:openFindInStore(5026245)

That brings up the popup that was hidden. 5026245 is the product id. Any help or anyone finding other TF product ids would be greatly appreciated. TIA

i tried this for masterpiece starscream and it didn't locate the transformer, but instead gives you this:

"The Struggle for America's Soul: Evangelicals, Liberals, and Secularism"

a book.

interesting.

Product ID and UPC are different. Each Product ID is unique to Walmart.com The other problem is not all products are in the online database yet and not all stores are participating yet... hence beta.

you are correct.

I should better articulate my statement.

I used the Product ID.

Not the UPC.

One more time in english...please :-?

This looks like it could be incredibly helpful! (why did I have to go back 5 pages to find it?)
I'll try anything that keeps me from having to drive to every friggin Wal-Mart within 30 miles of my home trying to find stuff.
The opinions expressed in this post are well-reasoned and insightful.
Needless to say, they are not those of SEIBERTRON.COM, its staff members, or any other site lackeys.
Anyone who says otherwise is itching for a fight.
