How Much Should I Be Paying/ Hoping For...
I thought it'd be an idea to start a thread for people interested in figures that available only on the secondary market. This can help with people trying to decide what's a fair price to pay, bid, etc.
I will continually edit this thread with any new replies and credit them accordingly.
I'd like to start with the following:
Suggestions Contributed
1. Revoltech Megatron
USD$20-35
(Thanks to Autobot032, Rushie)
2. Revoltech Optimus Prime
USD$30-40
(Thanks to Autobot032, Rushie)
3. Cybertron Primus
Primus only: USD$50-60
w Unicron Head: USD$60-100
(Thanks to Autobot032, Rushie, Blurrz)
Awaiting Suggestions:
Trypticon (complete and working)
Skystalker
Skyhopper
Groundshaker (those three are micromaster bases)
Action Master Optimus Prime (complete)
SC-22 Takara Omega Supreme

I personally haven't checked prices online in a while, especially for those figures. (seeing as I'm not interested in the first two, and already have the third. Sans Uni.)
From what I have seen in passing...
1.) $25-35.00 MISB
2.) $30-40.00 MISB
3.) $60-100.00 MISB (he's the rarest of the US Cybertron figures, I'd say. That head was only in the first shipment, then gone.)
Now, don't base all of your decisions on my post. These are prices I have seen in the past, not saying they are current by any means.

I'd say $20-$30 for the Revoltechs and anything up to $50 for Primus would be reasonable.

My response to this is whatever your willing to pay, especially on eBay, because there is probably at least one guy willing to pay just as much or more. I'd say figure out the most you personally would be willing to pay for the figures and go from there. It took me quite a few auctions to get most of my collections in my price range, but it's a lot more satisfying that way (IMHO).

Thanks. However the reason I am doing this is there have been times when I was willing to pay something for a figure on Ebay, then found out later that I paid way too much. Sometimes when I'm emotionally into a product or the bidding process, I find it helpful as a guide to understand when I've gone over what other people might think it reasonable.
Would I still pay more if I really, really wanted it? Maybe. But would I also curb myself better if I knew what general opinion about value is? Definitely.
As a relative beginner to the new lines of Transformers other than G1 and TFTM07, some guides are useful.
For example, I bought a Unicron for SGD$250. Later on I found out that that was actually overpriced because I should have aimed for about SGD$180-200. Sure enough, a couple of weeks later, I found 2 or 3 for that price range.
Another example, I saw a Revoltech Megatron for SGD$50. It looked so cool that I figured everyone would want it and I might need to work fast. I received some advice that it was too high a price, and true enough, it never got sold. Really it was listed at a lower price.
So that's what I really hoped this thread could be. A guide for leeway for individuals to make their own deicisions, as you say they will have to ultimately.

I know that feeling, but I also know the feeling of missing out, took me three years to find a Fortress Maximus in my price range, and another two of losing Energon Omega Supreme because someone said it wasn't "worth" $60. When I finally realized that I may overpay ever now and then was better than not owning a figure I really wanted, I learned that money doesn't buy happiness ... money buys Transformers, which THEN give happiness.

Optimus Prime: "This is a military mission, not a vendetta, Omega."

Heck Revoltech figures run about $24.99 so I would say no more than $50 for those. I do know that toy r us, Target and walmarts still have primus with unicrons head include so I would pay $49.99 if where talking on ebay whatever you think is fair but I wouldn't pay more than a $100. Thank heavens I don't have to I already have primus.

Are you sure about that? You've seen the Primus figures with Unicron heads, with your own eyes? Recently?
I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's highly, highly unlikely.

Schizophrenica, are you talking about USD$? Voyagers at $40-45 and Deluxes for $20-30... sounds more like what we got them here for SGD. I'm converting everything to USD to put in the thread for a common frame of reference.

Yes I am talking about USD... It annoys me sometimtes that the prices are so bloated..
Anyway back on topic I was surprised this thread got pushed back so far.. How much is a G1 and G2 loose dinobot slag worth? I found a seller with a G1 slag going for $25 and G2 slag for $26

Hobby shops usually don't sell at fair prices.. Is SC-22 the superlink Omega supreme? If it is the ones I usually see are around $100 or so..

yep, that it is. i figure some of the older ones here might be able to help me find out if it's fair or not, considering this toy line stopped like more than 2 years ago.

yeah, i kinda figured that...

anyways, i repeat this question:
is paying $118 USD for a SC-22 Omega Supreme relatively fair;
and how much are the market prices for Energon Omega Supremes nowadays?
thanks folks, hopw somebody knowledgable enough would post.
