I recently got interested in the Classics line. I think that with these I can get the G1 characters I loved but enhanced with modern technology allowing better articulation and proportion, two major gripes I had in my G1 toys.
I went on Ebay and noticed one thing: twin pack figures are actually worth less than if you actually added the two figures individually. For instance, a single Classics Ultra Magnus is worth more than one in a twin pack.
Is the reason for this that from a collector's standpoint, individually packaged figures are worth more?

Hum intresting question I don't think they would be any cheaper because they are the exact same figure. But then who knows what goes through a collectors mind.

Take your bargains when you can get them. I recently got UM and Skywarp 2-pack. Aside from some loose joints on Skywarp and a bit of yellowing on Ultra Magnus, they're really great. I don't think being MISB reduces their value at all.

I've got a feeling it'll be something along the lines of more people have one without the other, so more people bid on the single ones than the actual twin-pack. Or is the starting price of single figures higher than the twin-packs?

It has more to do with that usually its harder to find figures from two packs individually. In the Case of Magnus, there was never an individual release. So you won't find him packaged solo.

I noticed the same thing too.. I'm not sure why but its for this reason I tend to get a 2-pack more often than a single toy..

For those who have bought the twin packs, are the bios lacking? I'm interested in the Grimlock and Jetfire twin pack.
For instance I bought a movie Blackout and Scorponok twin pack... only had bio for Blackout!
