TF Club, is it worth the money?
Now I love collecting TFs but I'm not sure if I can justify spending $40 for a membership that doesn't seem like it offers a lot. Perhaps I'm wrong? Anyone care to tell me why I should fork out $40 to join the club? My b day is tomorrow so I may get enough money to join, but I doubt it.
Let me know pros and cons, if any, of joining it.

Main reasons for joining in order of value:
Discount for Botcon Passes and sets
Free figure once a year
Big discounts on Club Exclusives like the upcoming Nightbeat and Seacons.

It's certaintly not worth the damn hassle if you're an international member.
Three years in a row now my credit card has to be processed manually. Three years they've had to update their credit card software to accommodate Australian cards and three years they've done nothing about it.

If you're in the US and like the Botcon and club exclusives then it is worth every penny.
If not, then no.

They all pretty much summed it up. If you have an interest in the exclusive Club figures and the Botcon sets, then yes. Otherwise, and according to so many people, it's not worth anything at all and is highway robbery. If you're not interested in the Club figures or Botcon or saving money, then you should take the $40 and buy a 'metallic' finished 'exclusive' movie 'Transformer' figure. Want actual exclusive things? Join the Club.

What's the benefits of joining it for botcons? How many tickets will I be able to buy? Also are club exclusives limited to 1 per customer?

Not to be a total douchebag or anything, but aren't most of these questions answerable by starting with a look on the club website?

Yeah but I'm asking people who have personal experience. I'm just wanting to know if it's a 1 per customer limit on exclusive items and if I can get more than 1 ticket for botcon at the discounted price. I have some friends that wanna chip in for the TFClub membership so we can go to a botcon together.

If you mean this Botcon, you're most likely out of luck. Seems like all Botcon sets already sold out.

OK, say someone is a member of TF Club and they want botcon tickets, are they allowed any special package for multiple people i.e. discounts on multiple tickets and multiple hotel rooms or are they limited to one hotel room discount and one botcon discount ticket?

For Botcon you can get a Primus package which is everything including the box set. You can get a Minicon package for a friend to go with you, they however, are not entitled to a box set. You can purchase a loose set with your Primus package though. Anybody extra will have to purchase their own Primus package.
Fun Pub works out a group rate with a few select hotels that are close to the convention. They still aren't the cheapest, about $130 per night, but you will be very close.

Hmm, There's 3 of us wanting to go but I guess since we're all gonna go together we could split the pay on 2 Primus Packages and have a maybe a fourth member join us and maybe even split it 4 way with the 2 getting the boxsets paying more.

No, thats not right. If you are a member you can buy as many Primus packages as you feel like. Last year, I bought 4 of them under my membership and discount applied to all.

Ah ok. Sweet, thanks for the info man. Will be nice for me and my friends to be able to attend botcon together one year, hope it will be closer to Florida next year.
Hey, do the members of Seibertron usually meet up if they attend a botcon or what? I wouldn't mind meeting and hanging out with a few of you.

Re: TF Club, is it worth the money?
I haven't been a member that long and I have had both good and bad experiences with the club. First the good. The forum is quite good, I got my Botcon 08 Iacon box set at reduced price and I bought Exclusive Astrotrain, Airazor and Vector Sigma at reduced price. That leads me to the bad points.
If you live outside the US the club shop is annoying. It cannot calculate shipping. You have to place the order then they contact you with a shipping quote. When I placed my order for Vector Sigma, Astrotrain and Airazor I had that problem.
I sent an OK for the shipping to the UK. I then got an email stating they didn't get a reply. I replied again and they acknowledged that but an address problem now plagued me. I replied again but I got an email a few days later saying I never replied and so they cancelled the order. Not happy I replied back stating I wanted the order at the reduced price (Valentine's Day Special prices) I paid. I got an email saying sorry, they had problems with their email and the order was placed again. Hope this helps.
So, I am yet to be convinced to renew next year despite the discounted prices for Botcon and exclusives.
