opinions about x-9 Ravage

Postby mrdrillerxl » Thu Apr 10, 2008 9:13 pm

After acquiring the black RM lio convoy, ive been contemplating buying x-9 Ravage. Lio convoy needs a sparring partner.

having never owned the tm cheetor mold, i want to know what you guys think of x-9 ravage.

a friend has a loose x9 ravage that he will sell to me for $100. i've checked ebay and bbts so price wise i think its good. its just that i have yet to spend $100 on one figure, let alone a deluxe figure.

thanks

I'd do just about anything to get that figure, so if I were you then I'd do it faster than you can say "Covert Agent Ravage, at your service." in a russian accent.

The X-9 mold has alot of kibble as the bot arms hang under the alt as the new head sculpt takes up alot of room.

That aside, it looks like a great figure to me!

Say what you will with all the recent controversy around exclusive figures, this retool of an already great figure is a true rare gem as far as collectables go. A sought after rarety without even trying to be one, with the only repaint being an exclusive :P

If you can score one, do it!

He's a nice figure with a retarded after market price. That's my opinion, and I got mine at a steal. He's a deluxe sized figure at best. Do try to get him for under a solid hundred. He's nice but he isn't a $100 nice.

$100 is about what I paid for an MIB figure. It is an accurate figure of a cool show character. As someone who was going for a collection of all Beast Wars show characters, it was a must buy for me. I don't regret it, but $100 is a lot to spend on it.

He's a great figure. Worth $100??? Not sure about that.

I liked it enough to get the Botcon Tigatron version of him a few years ago too.

You could go for a little lesser type version of him, Jawbreaker, or the Walmart exclusive Decepticon Agent.

I love my X-9 ravage but for me he represents the arc of beast wars that got me back into transformers. The Ark, the mythos th legends and ravagers incredibly cool character popping up really made me sit up and take notice of the series and when i started collecting the beast wars show characters Ravage became a grail for me.

Its a really well crafted figure and worth mentioning the remolds arent just for the head - he contains a spring loaded 'quick draw' gimmick that the origonal cheetor never did.

Id say it was definatly worth it and its one of my favorite figures in my collection at the minute

I think it's an excellent figure.

Without sounding a bit harsh you can just pull the robot arms off if you're going to display him in beast mode!

well, i bit the bullet and got him. just arrived in the mail today. and i have to agree... as cool a figure ravage is, its not worth the $100 i paid for it, imho. then again, its not the first time i got disappointed at a figure i paid $100 for.

atleast the secondary market is always goin to be good.

i actually had more fun transforming BM rattrap, which also arrived today(thanks CP). i'm trying to acquire another BM rattrap so ravage and RM lio convoy can have a jousting match while riding rattrap.

thanks for the comments guys.
