Beats Wars Buzzsaw Variant?

- Weapon: Saber Blade
I just got a Beast Wars Buzzsaw (waspinator repaint) in a lot off ebay and he has a gray chest plate not a purple one. Is this a variant or was a waspinator chestplate possibly used as a replacment?

Waspis was greay i believe so i think they were swiched but to be sure check the galleries

Thats what i was thinking because the Buzzsaw that i had already has a purple one and i got it right when it came out. I also got a Waspinator with the lot and he has the gray chest so i found it odd that both had gray chests. I was hoping that i got a rare figure without knowing it.
