Now I know how 'all the kings horses and all the kings men' felt:
I got Star Wars TF Darth Vader/Death Star yesterday. Transforming him from bot to DS is as fiddly and frustrating as piecing together a broken easter egg. When you make the final adjustments and push all the parts together it even FEELS like holding an easter egg!

And thus, is one of the many problems facing the Star Wars/Transformers line. Unfortunately it is not just him alone, there are many others that are very fragile, and fall apart with a sneeze.

im new to being a transformers fan and a couple years ago my little cousin had a milenium falcon han solo/chewie tf. i spent like a whole night at my grandmas trying to transform it for him. im not sure if it was just because i wasn't a tf fan yet or if it was just that hard without instructions. i can imagine the deathstar tf being even tougher to transform.

I got him and yeah, the tramsformation was a disapointment. All your doing is folding the bot over, then it's pannel assembly.
It's not that hard though, after I changed him once, I had it down, and I thought it was going to be much more difficult.
Suprizing one would think that a toy like this would be very hard to handle, but I gotta say, when mines in alt mode, it's alot more solid than Primus and Unicron. It's actualy hard to get the pannels to pop once they're in place.
Still a disapointing transformation though.
yep, trust it enough to just hang it in a loop(I did take it down after a day though)

It's not that it's fragile - it's sturdy enough. The trouble is that nothing locks in place until EVERYTHING is ready but the process of holding it means you disturb other pieces. Leige, how can you say it's easy? I find MP Legatron easier just cos it's so damn FIDDLY.

I noticed you have to follow the instructions pretty carefully to get the panels properly fall into place...otherwise it is a total pain in the ass to line everything up properly. Cybertron Primus is a much more enjoyable transformation, though...
