Let's talk about potential TF2 toys! (movie spoilers!)
So what potential TF2 toys are you excited about? Now that it's been confirmed(?) that the Constructicons will be in TF2 and will combine, I can't wait to see what the inevitable toys look like! I already think those will be must-buys for me.
I didn't like the Megatron design in TF1, and so never bought any Movie Megatron figures, but I'm hoping the new Megatron toys will be cooler, cause the tank mode looks much cooler than the "Cybertron jet" mode.

Are the Constructicons confirmed? I heard that SOME robots will combine into Devastator, but not specifically them...

Here's what I read:
TFW2005 has received confirmation that the combiner Devastator will appear in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The confirmation includes the following details:
- Seven construction vehicles merge to form Devastator
- Devastator has lots of upper body strength, like a gorilla
- Not just green, some of the vehicles are red and yellow
- The previously seen Long Haul concept art (image to left) by Josh Nizzi is legit
I assumed the seven construction vehicles are the Constructicons. Wouldn't that be the case? Who ELSE would combine to form Devastator? (I may be wrong, since I don't follow the TF mythology closely; I'm only in it for the toys.)

My bad, hadn't heard that.
I personally am still not too excited since I'm not to hot on the movie's aesthetic and I feel that a combiner would exaggerate the points I don't like.

I'm very excited for Devastator. If all the Constructicons only look half as good as the Long Haul concept we saw a few weeks ago then I'm gonna be very happy.
Don't know what else I'm gonna be buying this time though, But I may need some sort of budget. Otherwise I might buy as much as I did for the first film.

I really don't think I even want to buy TF2 toys.
I may just enjoy the media and let the figures go this time.
The first movie toys were too much of a debacle.

Not that CP needs the affirmation, but I agree. I hopped on the first movie toy bandwagon because they looked interesting, but they just weren't that enjoyable in the long run, so I sold nearly all of them. I may pick up one or two, but I'm not going to drain the budget on TF2 toys.

Id say its inevitable that I'll buy Devestator, even If I have to do extensive repainting and bashing, there is no way I could pass up a supreme combiner, most of the otheres I'll probibly pass on with the exception of Prime who I may get as I didnt get the first one

I know I'll be buying them.
I'm very excited over Megatron, and I want to see how the Fallen will look, on-screen and in toy form.
I'm looking forward to seeing all the new toys that I'll be spending money on next year.

Speaking of The Fallen, what do we know about him? (Like I said above, I know very little about the history/mythology of TFs.) Do we have any indication of what he MIGHT look like, or what kind of alt mode he might have?

Re: Let's talk about potential TF2 toys! (movie spoilers!)
Quick Devastator thought:
What if they produce each of the Constructicons as a Deluxe-class figure, and then they make it where these figures can combine into Devastator?
I'd be more than willing to buy six Deluxes in order to get a full-sized Devastator.
Think of it this way: We could get something much (!!!) larger than a Leader Class for about the same price.
But that's just my thought.
Who else is interested?

I was in the same train of thought as you guys, I only picked up real gear "Laserbeak" and the 'con Cell Phone, deluxe Brawl on clearance for my son along with movie BB in the Legacy of BB 3-pack last month. The rest I let pass.

I'll most likely get them all as long as they aren't straight repaints from the last movie line. I know they have stated there will be new leader class molds for Prime and Megatron with new transformations, bit I wonder if BB, IH, and Rachet will get new molds since it doesn't appear their alt modes have changed? I'm most interested in the Constructicons.

Re: Let's talk about potential TF2 toys! (movie spoilers!)
Devi is a must get fo me and bbs new body kit is growing on me so if they make a new mold I'll buy other than that unless they create some awsome new mold for prime, hide or rachet I'll only be buying the new characters. Something tells me I'll be draining my wallet this comming summer lucky I work at target and can get the good stuff at 10% off.

They say there are three times more TFs in the sequel, so I think we can expect a lot of new molds. There's Jetfire, the Chevy Volt, the Corvette, the 3-wheeled motorcycle...

Oh I understand that, and I'll get all the new character molds. I just will not re-buy molds from the last movie just because they are part of the TF2 movie like. For example Ironhide to our knowledge isn't getting a new alt mode, so if they just give us the first movie's voyager class figure I'm not buying it again.
