I think this is unfair. I mean, I don't remember hearing about a Universe hiatus. Good to know they'll come back after ROTF, but not everyone heard about it.

I will be stoked if they do a new Soundwave. Ideally just like G1 but with better articulation, but I'll be happy if he's given a new alt mode too, as long as he looks like himself and has at least one minion.

It would be cool if the upcoming Ravage could store inside him.

Agreed. The new Ravage looks good, and I plan on getting him when he's out. I'd rather Soundwave be an update of G1 with better articulation than a new alt mode, though...

Alright, I want a G1 soundwave, don't have anything except animated and soon the movie. Hopefully, it will be very true to his G1 form, unlike Galvatron turning into a tank. I was hoping Galvatron would be the canon

Um, this happened during TF1. We haven't seen any new molds in a long time either, plus Hasbro has stated over and over (even at BotCon) that Universe is going to go on Hiatus during the movie.

Im sure classics will return. We wanted more after the first set and we got classics 2.0 so im sure we'll see 3. And if we dont they still better make Soundwave. And it better not suck as bad as the last few we've had.

I get mad every time a new wave of universe figures are revealed and they don't include figures like jazz, soundwave, shockwave, wheeljack, and especially mad when cosmos, beachcomber and brawn get relegated to legends when they deserve at least deluxe status...the announcement of soundwave is cool, but I'm still pissed that we have to wait all that time when he's already so long overdue.

And honestly, I don't think that universe should stop for anything, not the movie line, not animated, nothing, there are just too many possibilities and it's the only line that really caters to hardcore fans.

Well I think that putting TF Universe on a hiatus is not such a good idea, but I would put it on the background. Hasbro should continue to release Universe figures during the movie period, even if it had to be as legends class. There are so many figures which could be done in legends class such as Rattrap, Pipes/Huffer, Gears, Seaspray (even though some should be done as deluxe), Frenzy/Rumble & some of the other casettes (if Ravage is the size of a Legend figure and if we ever see Soundwave) and some of the Micromasters as well such as Stakeout or Holi as it is known in TF Victory (seeing that Dezaras and Star Saber have been imported to Robot Heroes).

I don't think that Legends class figures would hinder on the other serieses such as animated or ROTF.

to be honest, i couldnt give 2 figs about the movie toys, only reason i have any is because of other people buying them for me, animated are ok but if its a choice between universe and animated then its universe all the way.

Universe 2010 wouldn't be such a bad idea. Characters from that era that haven't yet been done could get updated... I wouldn't mind seeing what they can do with Kup (though the original is a personal favorite of mine).

I will be beyond shocked if within the next 2-3 years we ever get an announcement that "The Universe Line is over"...
Not only because I don't trust Hasbro with such bold statements,
but also because
as someone has already stated,
there are way too many possibilities for this line.
Who says that eventually Beachcomber, Brawn, Warpath, etc. couldn't get Deluxe Class molds????
Why couldn't they make a D. Class Vortex, Air Raid, Breakdown, Groove, Scrapper, etc., etc., etc.???

Again, I still think the movie will bring in enough money to give Hasbro some flexibility to give the Universe Line a new run.
Who knows, maybe by then they'll have the whole quality-gestalt toy figured out.

What I hope is that Hasbro doesn't throw out as many non-movie character figures, and saves some of those resources for the Universe Line.

well i take back my previous statement, picked up 3 movie toys (cybertron repaints) and im sure they are good enough for universe repaints, crankcase for trailbreaker anyone?
