Alligators like sticker books
Hi all
I am very excited for my next ebay item to show in my mailbox. I was lucky enough to pick up the Transformers panini stickerbook (ore-movie). I've been looking on ebay for years for a complete one that's actually in good shape. this one is even better! The album is unused and sealed in original bag and there is a complete mint sticker set included as well.
At $90 some people might think "wow, alligators have swamp water for brains" (which we might), but spending the afternoon putting all the stickers in their place will be nothing short of awesome! I can't wait, I'm so going to be 9 again for 3 hours!
that's all, just wanted to share my glee with folks who understand that sort of thing (though the wife did her best to feign excitement lol)

Is that the one that came with a tech-spec kind of image viewer? I used to have it but I only had like 1/3 of the stickers, great find, mate.

I know the one for the animated movie(next on my list) had that viewer thingy, I'm not sure about this one. I'll find out in a week or two I guess.

Thanks a lot, I have a lot of really good memories of going to the corner store (called Bunnies for some odd reason) with my oldest friend, and picking up the sticker packs for 35 cents each, after trading in a lot of pop cans. Good summer times, I can't wait to get this

I remember that one, last year I snatched an almost-complete one on an auction site (only 3 or 4 stickers are missing from it)

Oh god I used to waste so much money on those damn stickers. Money that should have been spent on toys. You buy three packs of stickers and get one or two new ones and loads of repeats. They knew how to con kids out of pocket money.

Good job! But I never really liked stickers. I was kinda nerdy doing homework. Heh heh

I used to put some of my doubles on my school notebooks.

I remember doing that with my doubles too, so fun. It sure was a good way to swipe money from kids, I always liked the suspense of finding that one sticker I really wanted. Same for those action cards, I LOVED collecting those.

Ah yes! The good ol' days of my Transformer sticker book and trading cards, I remember my grade school friend and I collected both. It was a good thing too, the '86 movie never came to our small town, so we only knew what happened by reading the sticker book. I think my friend had enough stickers to send in for that Dinobot Snarl backpack!
Anyway, good times!

I don't recall the mail away backpack at all, neat! Only seeing the movie in the sticker book must have been quite torturous and somewhat magical at the same time I imagine. I remember seeing the matinee with my buddy and it blew our minds, the animation, the...bigness, and the sheer carnage.

Well, I did eventually see it when it finally came to our video store, and yes, it was astounding! A part of me wishes I could have experienced the movie like the rest of the fandom, and another part of me is glad I didn't.
