im not really an autobot guy, unless its got an AWESOME alt mode.
as for starscream although he is a bad design he is still starscream, he cant always look the same and some versions will be better than others and some will be worse, anyway liking the the tattoos lol, and the altmode looks more like an f-22 this time so ill have this one for the alt mode.

i may get Starscream, but only to display in vehicle mode. i like F-22's, and this F-22 looks waaaaaay better than the one for the toy for the first movie.

Re: ROTF--New Box Images of Starscream&V Op&L Op
prime is just a repaint some say?
i have the original sitting just a few feet away, this one looks completely different. its closer to his movie appearance. he isnt as bulky or "toy looking" compared to the first.
as for starscream, same deal...seeing the original right now, this one is definately new, his chest is much bigger and his legs are stubbier and more "squat-ish". but even if he's mistransformed, the legs themselves are thicker.
either way, i already bought the first movie line so i'm not bothering with any of these but at least they went to the effort of making new ones. Ironhide does seem to be the exact same thing but different paint though.

You've got the orginal Leader Prime sitting in front of you, don't you?

For anyone who hasn't seen Spotlight: Sledge (and why not?!), my gritty and dark fanfiction piece "Holiday" is posted here.

Re: ROTF--New Box Images of Starscream&V Op&L Op
Now, I was a bit of a completist when it came to the last movie line. I bought the lot, from the gold legends Bumblebee to the Japanese Real Gears with different decals.
Now so far, the remoulded ROTF toys have all had something different to warrant a purchase. Deluxe Bumblebee's new bumper and face, Ironhide's new guns and paint scheme. I'll even probably pick up the new FAB and Ultimate Bumblebees.
But even I'm not particularly fussed about the new Voyager Prime. We've already had the original version, Robo-Vision, First Strike, Battle-Damaged and recently the Screen Battles one that was packed with Bonecrusher.
I have five of this mould already, and now we have another one turn up, and with only minor differences to boot.
Is it so hard to give this guy a bit of a remould? A new head maybe? Different hands? A new weapon?
I've defended Hasbro many times against those who slag off all the repaints. Hell, I've got more copies of the Deluxe Bumblebee mould than you can shake a big stick at.
But this guy... well for the first time in AGES, I'm actually condering a pass.

I have taken a stance on the new movie toys. If I bought the guy for the first movie, I am not spending money on him again. It is still the same character for crying out loud. A little new paint or a new helmet doesn't really warrant another purchase for me.
I will probably get each of the new characters although, from what I have seen so far, I am not very impressed (a bi-plane, a horrible looking construction vehicle, and a robot-mode-less motorcycle).

What about the new ROTF Prime? Sure, it's the same character but it's a new toy.
Smile for the hell of it.

So does that mean you would purchase both Bumbleebee and Cliffjumper Deluxes because they are different characters, despite being from the same mould?
