Looks interesting and kinda cool. As for the movie I'll rather wait and see before trying to guess anything. I'm really looking forward to the full trailer to see what more is revealed and I hope we'll see Soundwave.

Optimus Prime: Great... but how are we gonna explain to capellamusic the hole on his wall?
Megatron: Hmm... a free natural air conditioning system?

I still think its a bad call on MB's part to put a pretty obscure character in a movie that is both tailored to fans and general moviegoers, unless they put in about 30 minutes of backstory to at least cover who and what the fallen is. Sad part is, even people who are fans, unless they're die-hard fans, don't know who The Fallen is (myself included) unless they read the Dreamwave(?) comics. Even then, take a look at how inconsistent the storytelling was in the first movie.YRQRM0 wrote:...I still think it's possible he's the giant rolling guy in the trailer, seeing how huge he was. But this is seriously ugly...
Off topic: The "giant rolling guy" from the trailer is one of the Constructicons, we've already seen his toy in both modes, I'm just waiting for his name to be Scrapper since that is who he resembles the most, and what I've been calling him since I first saw his toy. Everyone who is a fan at my job is now following suit.
We don't have ANY conformation that's he's a constructicon, what if The Fallen just scanned a construction vehicle? I don't think it's him that much, but it's still a possibility. I say the Fallen will be something else because this figure is so small for someone who's supposed to be "apocalyptic".

Technically, I am considered the "smallest" amongst all of my friends. I'm not the shortest but I am physically the lightest and in terms of actual physical strength would be considered the weakest as far as ability to carry/lift dead weight. I'm also the one everybody would jump behind if confronted by a group of people and even the biggest of my friends won't challenge me in a fight. I'm the fastest, most agile one among us, I'm skilled in the use of several martial arts weapons and able to focus my strikes to do devastating amounts of damage without the use of "brute strength" and can assess oponents and surroundings faster than any of the rest of the guys. I'm thankful for the fact that I have not had to use these skills to seriously injure anyone as I do not feel that violence should be resorted to unless absolutely necessary (with a few exceptions but I won't go into that) and I don't bring these skills up in a boastful manner. They're meant to protect, not destroy. It's just to illustrate that "apocalyptic damage" does not necessarily have to come frome something huge. G1 Megatron was bigger than any combiner and yet the only 'Con to really challenge his authority was Starscream and we all know how well that worked for him.

I actually like this. I didnt think I was going to. I thought he was going to have wheel feet or a hunchback or four arms or something.
But I actually like it. I would have preferred if he had wings for a type of Lucifer-esque design (his plot is kinda borrowed from Paradise Lost).
BTW, he is mistransformed. The directions indicate that the thing between his legs shouldnt be there.

Looks like a Dlx to me, maybe a Voyager, but not anything bigger. That's cool with me though, it'll be easier on my wallet. As for the figure itself, looks pretty badass to me, very vicious looking, like he can deal ALOT of damage. As far as changing into a jet, eh, it's cool. Was kinda hoping for a tank but Megs has that covered. Pretty cool overall though.
And I was also one of the ones who thought The Fallen=Megatron. Happy to say I was wrong, I like that they kept them separate.

Looks like it was pulled out a toy designer's ass. Worse than Megatron (whom The Fallen looks like) from last year's movie. Bleck!
I stand by my previous posts. This movie's toys will not be hard to pass on. I hope I will at least enjoy the sequel as there will be nothing else to look forward to so far from what I have seen with the toys so far.

Re: First Look at ROTF "The Fallen" Toy!
Regarding the toy...
1) I do not like the green coloring. I expected gun-metal to match the poster. Oh well.
2) The face on the toy looks very Egyptian and matches the face seen on the teaser poster. Cool.
3) I think the orange pait apps and translucent orange plastic (see around the head) are intended to simulate flames. I fully expect the CGI version to be a raging inferno.
4) The robot image on the instruction sheet sure does look like the legend blackbird toy for Jetfire. Only time will tell.

His alt mode looks like Megatrons from the first movie. MAybe that's why they did that "flaming" repaint his voyager mold, to see what it'd look like.

Re: First Look at ROTF "The Fallen" Toy!
Ok, I've got a theory...
Jetfire is more-or-less confirmed to be a Decepticon at the start of the film, right? Could be that he was Starscream's buddy, just like in G1, but this time, he was betrayed by the Decepticons. After designing a group of construction-bots that could merge into a giant peacekeeping robot, his technology was appropriated for war, and he was summarily executed by being thrown into Earth's atmosphere and left for dead. Only, he survived his "Fall" to earth, and decided instead to hide, concealing himself as one of Earth's most powerful aircraft.
When the Autobots finally find him, he declares that he wants to be left alone... but given a chance to strike back against the Decepticons who used him and his inventions, he decides to take his "Revenge" against them. In the end, he devises a way to let Optimus Prime use his significant power and intellect to stop the Devastator - by merging with the Autobot commander.

From what I see in the pics, his feet are mistransformed
In the instructions his feet are displayed differently than in the above pic
Anyway, love the figure
Can't wait to see him in the movie!

Looks like the Lego Bionicle "Makuta" figure from a few years back... especially in the leg area.
I don't like it very much, but I still hope that waist configuration is mistransformed or something. I'd hate to walk around with a giant doinger plate bumping into my knee armor.
Meh.

by the looks of the instruction sheet, it shouldn't be sporting that huge dangler. i hope that's the case anyway. i'd hate to be outclassed by little toy robot!

I hope to God that's not the final deco. If so, this is one of those times where the deco murders an otherwise interesting figure for me. Looking forward to seeing more though.

My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

Not bad looking for a movie toy. I dig the head sculpt, even though it doesn't feel very transformery.

It's....different.
Could look halfway decent in a better paint scheme, but I'm guessing the toy is painted uyp to resemble the Fallen character.

Maybe this version of the Fallen is like Soundwave, a deluxe that comes in robot mode.

Nice ! I like it alot. But why dont the instructions have the name on it ? If sombody blacked it out to keep it a "secret" they got too much time on their hands. Neverless, I cant wait to see more

Re: First Look at ROTF "The Fallen" Toy!
Ummm...it is on there! "The Fallen" is the figures name. As far as the backstory goes, there are no Transformers living that can remember his actual name. None survived from that time period and the records have long since been lost, it is just known that he was one of the first. Now, how closely the writers or Bay stuck to the original backstory is anyones guess. The similarities may end with just the name of this character being "The Fallen" for all any of us know.
