Henkei Jetfire: Should I buy?
I already have Classics Jetfire but am thinking about getting a Henkei Jetfire also. What do people think of Henkei Jetfire compared to Classics?

I prefer the Hasbro version myself.
I don't like how they painted the cockpit on the Henkei version.

I don't have Henkei Bumblebee, Mirage, or Grimlock,
but the only one I am passing on for sure is Grimlock.
The other two I may get in the near future as I pass on most of the RoTF Line.
I have Henkei Jetfire, and prefer his look to the Hasbro version.
Is he the most Henkei-improved figure???
No way...
(Imo, Smokescreen takes that title)
But if you're a fan of the Classics, I think it's a good buy.

I say it depends on what you want out of the figure....
I loved the Classics' Jetfire with out a doubt. Then, looking at Henkei Jetfire, the minor changes to the mold are what make it look more like G1 Skyfire.
Why do people insist that Henkei is to improve on Classics. Besides the color differences, I think of Henkei as Tak's version of G1, not an improvement on Hasbro's paint jobs.

I agree with your comment about Smokescreen-although I think the Henkei version of Hound is right there with him as being "most Henkei-improved". Both are just so much better than the Hasbro versions, IMO.

Of the Henkei versions, Jetfire is definitely one of my favorites. I think it depends on if you really like the G1 cartoon look. The Hasbro classics version really reminds me of the original (Robotech-looking) toy, but the Henkei version really looks like the cartoon version of Skyfire. Depends on which version is more to your liking; if you like both the original toy AND original cartoon character, it's worth getting both! It's a great mold either way.
To follow along with other comments, I'd also say Astrotrain and Megatron are WAY improved as Henkei repaints!

Jetfire is one of the molds where Hasbro wins hands down for me.
No interest in the Henkei version, which just looks bland in my opinion.
I also prefer Hasbro Mirage, Grims, Bumblebee, Cyclonus, Galvatron and all the seekers (Hasbro+Funpub).
Sometimes Henkei works, sometime it doesnt, but the champ has to be Megatron in terms of improvement. I sold my Hasbro version when he came out.

Re: Henkei Jetfire: Should I buy?
If you already have the Hasbro Classic version, which is a really nice figure, I wouldn't bother with the Henkei version. Instead, maybe you should get Universe Treadbolt?

If you're a big Jetfire fan then get Henkei as well, i did. It's a great looking, solid mold and you can have a cartoon accurate and IDW accurate Jetfire.
Acutally, i'm going to go transform mine now!

I wouldn't unless you're a huge Jetfire fan. I thik the mold actually looks better in its Hasbro colors. Some Henkeis are better, some are not. IMO thi one isn't.

I actually like the Tread Bolt repaint except for the brown. I didn't get lucky enough to find Jetfire, and I don't know if I like it enough to pick up either the Hasbro or Henkei version.

I like Treadbolt, but if i had my choice between him, Classics Jetfire, and Henkei Jetfire, I would get the Henkei. I like the "more G1" paintjob.
