What's great is they include real weapons for the robots. This is how they should have looked in the first place. The Only Universe version of Superion I remember are the dollar store single card releases; was there another one? Is the movie version supposed to have a G1 paint scheme? Here's one, will this set work with the club combiners? That would be nice.

Since two of the club combiner figures are jets from this set, then you could theoretically use them as one arm and one leg... that said, though, you'd probably have a gimpy lopsided combiner, since this alters the proportions of the original figures to a small degree, and the pieces are designed specifically to work on the F-35s as arms and A-10s as legs (meaning you'd have nothing for the helicopter or tank).
Going to go preorder as soon as I finish typing this.

Perhaps this add on is one of two and they'll make a set for Bruticus. Heck, maybe do a special one just for the club set.

That would be cool, but something tells me if they are to do that it will end up being a convention special like the Powered Commander.

Are all the Energon gestalts being re-released? I'm still missing a few of the members.

Just g1 inspired re decos of the Airialbots and Combaticons in team packs. The Constucticons are unlikely as they were already rereleased a couple years back.

Re: BBTS Pre-Order: FansProject Superion Accessory Kit
Looks like it completely changes the configuration, which results in a much beefier look. A drastic improvement I would have to say. I agree that $45 is a bit much. Probably won't be able to buy it, but definetly would want to.

I doubt it would happen... The arms and legs don't appear to specifically attach to their respective limbs, in terms of the Aerialbots. The bottoms of the feet appear to become boosters for the large jet, while the sides of them become the 'radar disc' for the A-10 molds. Still can't tell where the fists go... I'm guessing inside one of the other parts.
For a mix-n-match set designed for the Club Combiner, you'd need to find places to PUT all of the excess stuff.
On a separate note, I'm hoping the final color scheme on these will be white, like the original G1 combiner...

well.... That is true enough, and it is most likely that reason we havn't heard FP doing a Combaticon one as it would be harder for them to figure out uses with those pieces.
However if they were to do a set for them, then it is conceivable that they could (for the club combiner) just do a set in a different color scheme that would work for the combiner without worring about the altmodes.

I think those are final colors. What I saw last weekend was just plain grey resin.
As for the cost, I think it justifies how much time, effort and actual funds go into something like this. Remember, it's a group of 6-7 guys doing this on the side, with their spare time. You can bet your bottom dollars that if something like this were made in the states or even Canada it would be almost $100.00 for sure.
What really sells me is the quality. Unlike Battle Roller this set if very sturdy and made to please. I'll be buying this and a side of gravy.

That's good & bad. Good in that I don't have 2 of the Combaticons. Bad in that I still won't have 1 of the Constructicons. Damn.

Oh look, it's another pricey 'upgrade set' comprised of the hard & honest work of fans resulting in little plastic accessory shtuff that should already have been produced and included with the original toys ala Hasbro/Takara. I love & hate these set things. Love'um because they're great just about every time, but hate'um because its always the tiniest of details I see no reason the manufacturer can't tack on as well, and yes I fully mean without some jacked up logic of a price increase. They have to know by now they're missing out. The fact there's so many fans out there that want this fund-scarring stuff (some of which can actually afford it, thus the market niche) surely has to show them they're dropping balls left & right. Balls all over the place.
