It's Oops all Hot Rods in the first installment of 2026 with episode 392 of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast. A double whammy of a new version of 86 Hot Rod as well as a new MPG offering for him tells us the real fire horse is probably just Hot Rod. Host Scotty P looks at those alongside Aaarnhide19, Counterpunch, Kuhlio and Rotorstorm, and the whole crew also gets into shenanigans involving upcoming teased releases from Takara. All that plus the annual prediction segment await.

MPG Hot Rod being an upscaled SS86 figure kinda really sucks.

MPMN Sideswipe looks pretty sweet, I am looking forward to this one. I also agree that the red feels superfluous, and it could have been something else entirely.

I have that old Platinum edition Prime, trailer, and Sideswipe, I adore that set.

My layup: we will get a battle damaged SS86 Optimus complete with orange shard. We will also get TF:TM battle damaged Windcharger and Wheeljack 2 pack.

My out-there prediction: the Target exclusive 4-pack this year will include a Nemesis Prime repaint of Big Convoy and 3 deluxes to offset a leader in place of 2 voyagers; those deluxes will be Tailgate from Windcharger, a gobot from Seaspray; and Prime blue Smokescreen.

out of the 4 Haslabs, I'd say Deathsaurus it the only one that did not have issues. Star Saber sucked and had chrome chipping; Omega Prime has broken abs; and Unicron had differing paint operations and was impossible to transform without a stand, so I would hardly call that one a success even if it wasn't necessarily defective.

Agreed with scotty on Big Convoy. I love him as a character, but they definitely make it a side step instead of an improvement, he improves in some areas but becomes a mess in new areas.

Ya know what Scotty, you and I are in-sync right now. I feel the same way about Brawl: he is real good, but doesn't feel like he justifies the voyager class and cost. I am glad I got him with amazon points so he was free.

Counterpunch talking about IDW high with Misfire, I feel the same, I felt more excitement at getting Sureshot since he can now go on the Lost Light shelves, finally adding a new crewmember. That is why I got him first from the deluxes.

Scotty getting a chase figure, UGH. I am 5 cases in to the Blokees main figures and still have yet to get a chase, and even at 5 waves of the defenders, where you are guaranteed a chase in each box but it is either 2 metallic paints or 2 armors, I have only got metallic ones, no special armor. I would really like to get a rarer chase dangit!

The flaming Rodimus from Last Bot Standing was the chase I REALLY wanted, and I didn't even get the rodimus version of the chase from that wave.

I got my kickstarter from Skybound too, I need to start it, I want to read this.

You talk about a hard time getting some comics, back in September/October, I was trying to get the 5 issues of the newest Marvel X-terminators comic. 1-4 were not bad, but trying to get 5? that was SO HARD. I finally found a comic store in Michigan that shipped it to me, that is how I had to get it.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail is what I think came up. At least at some point of the episode. Should also be on Netflix.

Make it a Pathfinder deco of Cosmos and this feels not only believable, but kinda neato.

The chase Shining IDW Megatron was an ebay purchase, tbf. I've only ever pulled one Galaxy version chase blindly and I think only one of the 1/144 ones from Defenders + Wheels. Aliexpress is much more reasonable for buying them than ebay, at least most of the time.
