Here's my Botcon '10 Contest entry, IDW Thunderwing.

Work on him first began about 3 years ago, before my Nova Prime. The project was on hold for quite some time, then picked up again in 2009. The character used for the base model was Cybertron Supreme Starscream, heavily modified and re sculpted. Thunderwing also sports 2 full Galvatron bodies for thrusters.

Well done. Did Dak also do the Nova Prime from a few years back? That piece is still my favorite...ever.

Yep! He actually started on Thunderwing, then stopped to work on and complete Nova Prime, and then finished working on Thunderwing. So he's spent more time on Thunderwing, but for some reason didn't win. :???:

I have like 10 pics of that on my camera that I got at BotCon....I literally walked by it, stopped, backed up, and stared in utter disbelief of what I saw! Thunderwing is one the creepiest characters in the IDW-verse, and to see it actually in figure form was just freaky! I gawked at it for like 10 min before I started snapping off pic after pic!

Absolutely a stunning piece and kudos to you, dak! Great work!

(The judges has no souls for not blue-ribboning it!)

I love your version of Thunder Wing. It was long overdue. Amazing detail, down to the actual size in relation to the Comic book description. When will Hasbro or any company will come out with your design to be purchase. GREAT WORK!!!!
