A member of ACtoys has posted images of the upcoming Mastermind Creations project, KM-04 Assassin Squad. All three members, which are based on the Insecticons from the IDW's Hearts of Steel comic series, appear in their prototype stages. The figures appear to be roughly deluxe in size, have light up features, and integrated weapons.

Sweet! Look accurate to the art, love the little details, and I like that each individual robot mode is about Deluxe size. Can't wait, looks like MMC will need its own shelf for HoS.

Should they have the Decepticon symbol molded into the figures? That's just begging for a lawsuit.

These look awesome, like they will fully live up to the drawings. I just hope that the light-up gimmick doesn't make the price skyrocket.

The more and more I look at it, the more I realize just how incredible this piece is.

They have really outdone themselves this time, and finally produced a product that I'll gladly buy.

I'm no Hearts Of Steel fan (I've never read the comics, nor have I felt a need to), but I do like some of the designs, and these Insecticons have won me over. I don't even care about the lighting effect, that's just awesome icing on the cake.

I'd consider collecting Mastermind Creations stuff along with the rest of my 3rd party stuff if they'd fix the problems on the original Knight Morpher Commander. I know the redeco fixed the problems, according to Vange1us, so if they'd redeco the new mold into the original colors, I'd definitely consider buying it.

Problem is, with Hasbro's official stuff, TakaraTomy's official stuff, and all of the existing and upcoming 3rd party stuff, my wallet and my room just aren't all that accommodating, but I'd be an idiot to pass up those Insecticons.

Hot damn.

I would'nt mind if they transformed in to Insecticons but with all of the stuff fansproject is rumerd to be doing that friken huge ass devistator,and all the cool stuff Hasbro has been doing with the generations line you have to draw the line some where.I also get the feeling and I don't know why is that Hasbro is going to make insecticons.
One other reason i'm not that crazy about them is that the original are still just some of the best looking g1 bots period,and I would love to maybee get some one to just add articulation to the originals.Then again when i see better pictures I might change my mind,who knows :-?

The Devastator is being made by iGear, or one of their "buddies", if I recall correctly. I do know, however, that FP has no involvement with that one.

As for Hasbro making Insecticons...I wouldn't hold my breath. We've gone through Classics, Universe 2.0, Generations and now Reveal The Shield. If they haven't made 'em yet, they most likely won't.

We've seen them (in black and white) and they look like Insecticons. We have names for them, which sounds similar to the Insecticon names. It's as close to confirmed as it needs to be.

Because they are OBVIOUSLY the characters we know as the insecticons but only re imagined as a strange 3 part train like combiner.....and steam-punky-trainicons sounds stupid :roll:

Actually, Devastator is made by TFclub (not to be confused with the Transformers Collectors Club by fun pub). The same people that made the Gear of War sets and Battle Rollar.

Molding the Decepticon logo in these is a bad idea.

I'm not too big on the chunky look if these guys, but I'll reserve judgement when we see the final versions. I hope they'll include more track sections.

I agree, molding in the Decepticon symbol is a bad idea, and Hasbro will sue MMC in the face, but as long as this thing is legal to buy, me want! =P~

It is being reported elsewhere that these prototypes are not the work of Mastermind Creations but of a unrelated custom piece made using a 3d printer for a college product. Supposedly it's not for mass production which might explain the molded decepticon symbols.
