Scalpers will always be a thing as long that some are willing to pay the absurd prices.

And what I mean by "scalping" is to sell anything that is less than one year old for absurd profit. Anything older than that is fair game. On that note, I'm glad the ones asking 300$ for the Siege Skywarp sets are stuck with them.

^ Well recently released the Siege Skywarp set in their markets, which is still less expensive than trying to get one of the Amazon ones from 2019, so yeah that helps.

Speaking of Amazon, those two Kingdom box sets are worthless imo. Those repaints are pretty meh and the "earth mode" bots are pretty much irrelevant. Those will be no Ratchet or Skywarp sets for sure.

Agreed. I have zero interest in them, but there seems to be something about Amazon, perhaps the pre-conceived notion of scarcity, despite its contents? Also the unfortunate difficulty with which some fans in other countries have to go to in order to obtain them. I mean they probably only had a small quantity on hand at Pulse, but those sold out quickly. In contrast I believe the Autobot 2-pack from Siege, and the Mirage/Aragon/Impactor sets stuck around for a while, well over a year and even went on sale multiple times.

It just goes to show, you never know with Amazon sets. I do hope late this year we get something akin to the Galactic Odyssey sets. It seems to be a pattern since Siege, release 2-3 *premium* sets during the lines run, then a few more later in the year to close the line out.

Exactly. These sets are called the Battle Across Time collection, and while we've only seen two I'm sure there are more to come.

Sideswipe is great. Some people won't like it sure, just like some people did not like the Mirage set or the Paradron Medics set. Not everyone is going to like every set. That's normal. But yes, these 2 new sets are exactly those Galactic Odyssey sets only for Kingdom. Just because someone doesn't like them does not mean they aren't actually good sets.

Also, the use of Airazor for Skywarp II is genius and gives us a somewhat more obscure character from an existing mold.

Some people may have no interest in them, but calling them worthless is just bad form. Since others could very well like them.

I had no interest in the other sets. Were they worthless? No, just not something I had interest. If you liked them that's fine. I won't tell you those sets are worthless because I did not like them.

These all had premium artwork/packaging

The GO sets had more *selects* style plain brown boxes. I could be wrong however, there doesn't seem to be any evidence we are getting any more Battle Across time sets than just the 2 that have been revealed (The battle mural appears to be complete). I would think, similar to last year, some more Amazon exclusive sets to finish out Kingdom (perhaps with a different theme) would come later this year, *if* they plan to do such a thing.

You also may well be right. Maybe I can get an Earthmode Hound out of it should they do something akin to GO, but we're getting kind of late in the game.

The Selects-style packaging was probably the only way the GO sets had less marketing care than the GO sets. In fact, the brown boxes were only on the outside, as the inside had full-color printing. The GO sets also included info sheets unique to those sets, which added a narrative component.

Based on how the marketing copy for the Battle Across Time sets, I expect they'll have some of those packaging or insert bells and whistles, but only time will tell.

Well, if the rumors of a 5th wave of Kingdom are true (pushing some of the 2022 line back into Kingdom) it may not be too late, besides, I believe the first announcement of GO didn't come until fall of last year?

I was about to post this, glad to see you got here first yeah we have the Golden Disc sets to look forward to...though is it wrong that I'll be disappointed if they don't come in disc shaped packaging *

Seconded . I totaly forgot about the rumored Golden Disk sets. Those totaly are the GO for 2021 . I'm sure they will have some unique repaints, but I'll have to see them before deciding. The Botropolis set was the only GO one I picked up because of the additional Modulators. If anyone them have a couple new Fossilizer decos I may go for that.

Looks like Amazon is moving up the ship dates for Kingdom wave 3 deluxes. I have Scorponok arriving July 2-6 and Wingfinger arriving July 14-21 for now. No update on Tracks yet.

I just checked my order and the page says Estimated Fri, Jul 2 – Wed, Jul 7. Hopefully it actually goes through.

I just found out that Amazon unexpectedly (and somewhat inconveniently) charged me for Scorponok and that I should have him by the weekend. I'm happy about him getting here 2 months early, even if I didn't exactly have the cash. Rhinox has been moved up to July 5th, so he should be here in a couple of weeks.

Man..I feel like I'm playing a game of whack-a-mole and losing, when it comes to getting releases first. I keep rotating where I get my pre-orders from, because last time they were the first to get something. Next time, it's never the same case. I mean I've got an item early on occasion, but more often than not I'm one of the later ones. Oh well, not changing now. I'll get them when I get them.

Yeah, Amazon yesterday tried to charge me for the whole order that has Rhinox, Galvatron, and the flying bone guy, all should be here before the end of the week.
