What was your worst TRANFORMERS related experience?

I WAS READING A THREAD AT THE TECHNODROME (TMNT FORUMS) OF THE SAME THREAD SOOO...LETS START.

Think was 1994. i was 8 or 9 years old. and it was a time of Transformers G2 my most fave figure at that time was 'BLASTOFF' from the combaticons. ahem. during that time. my mom had to work. and i couldn't be come alone. so she had the bus driver drop me off at this day care centure. or something. one day after being dropped off myself and the kids around me were watching a disnet cartoon. >.> one of the kids knew i brought my blast off with me (took it to school with me that day) in fact i gad with me. kid ask me to check it out so i let him. a few mins later he said he wanted to show his parents. i said ok--- stupid me. my tv addiction cost me my blast off.

for my mom came to pick me up...the lil **** was gone along with my transformer.

to this day i hope that lil **** gets whats coming to him. for all i know he probily become a theif and in jail. i was bitter about this until i had my chance to get a new blastoff, in RID form.

-.- but during that time i was being 'too nice' as my parents tough me always to be nice. *ahem* reasons why i became an ass hole during highschool. cus being nice doesnt cut it anymore.

Yeah, I think I'll have to agree with Prime's death in the 86 movie. That's the only time I've cried over a TF related thing.

The second worst was when I'd taken my 07 leader Brawl apart to fix his turret - it kept flopping to one side and never sat straight in robot mode. After fixing the proboem I was refitting the spring and it launched off into space, never to be seen again. This meant the turret would never even sit at the wrong angle - it would forever flop uselessly. I called every relevant store in the area to find a replacement spring. No luck. I started trying to make a replacement spring from another spring. No luck. Suddenly I realised the tool I was using had the right width spring and I just had to cut it down to the right length, rendering the tool useless. Can you come close to imagining my relief at restoring my birthday-present-that-has-never-been-released-in-my-country?

Well, here's a link to my fixed and beautifully painted Brawl in case you're interested.

Getting back into TFs as an adult and realizing that many of my G1 figures from childhood were lost or destroyed. It makes me sick to think I had Shockwave and Omega Supreme and stuff like that, and they're all gone now.

Don't you just love how any sping that accidentally launches seems to go into some black hole to never be found again.

My worst TF moments, having my G1 Prime stolen in 3rd grande and have my G1 Blaster stolen in 4th grade. You would think I would have learned my lesson after the first theft. I ended up getting Prime back, because another kid in class ratted out the kid who took him, but he was trashed. Never saw Blaster agin.

As a child in Peru, i grew up with the G1 cartoon in the 80's, but had little access to the figures. Years after living here in the U.S., a high school friend, who collected M.A.S.K. and X-men figures, took me to a friend of his (older guy) that sold Transformers that he would buy at garage sales (way before eBay). I didn't know about conventions yet (currently nearly non-existent in this area), so i bought G1 Devastator, Superion, and seekers from this guy. My worst TF moment was months later, when i realized that i had paid way too much for them and that my "friend" knew. By then, the guy had disappeared (he dealt from his mom's house).

The second worst moment was loosing one of G1 Ramjet's stabilizer fins somewhere on the school bus. I don't know what i'm gonna do to prevent my kids from taking their toys to school. It's a toy's black hole, children!!!

When Michael Bay was announced as the director for Transformers.......... :D

I wanted a G1 Prime all the way through my childhood, I eventually got the reissue in 2003 and first time of transforming it, broke one of the smokestacks off.

My top 5 are as follows

5. The destruction and loss of TM Optimus Primal
4. Loosing TM Megatron to GPS at the same time
3. My G2 Cyberjets either disappearing or being destroyed
2. Realizing I owned at least 2 Gobots before I got any official TF toys.
1. Bayformers

My worst Transformers experience is a bit different... it's different in the way that it is also my best, and yet it never truely happened... let me explain

This is the best... Usually about once a month I will end up in random stores on the toy aisles... I always find G1 Transformers in the G1 boxes all nice and minty... I have found the Predaking, Bruticus, Menasor, Superion, and Computron box sets... I have also found each of the combiner limbs hanging on G1 cards as well as all the Dinobots in their boxes... I have found Megatron, Sharkticon Gnaw, Optimus, Sunstreaker and many other figures... I grab a buggy and load as many as I can into the cart to go purchase them....

This is the worst part.... This has never really happened... This once a month encounter with original G1 Transfomrers that have never been opened... is just dreams, or nightmares. When I walk off to go purchase the figures, I ALWAYS wake up before I get to the register. The dreams seem so real that I don't know it's dream until I wake up. Makes me feel ignorant that I can't recognize inside my dream that this is impossible... So with that said, this is an ongoing never ending worst experience, yet best at the same time...

Well, it would either be when my cousin snapped my G1 Mirage in half...

...or when I pulled my BW Transmetal Megatron (the purple t-rex) out after not having seen him for a while. While transforming him, somehow I snapped the dang thing clean in half at the waist! Never had any problems before; don't even know how I did that. So, I got on e-bay, found another for not too much $$$ and waited. Finally got him again, opened him up, transformed him to check that everything was o.k. and SNAPPED THE DANG THING CLEAN IN HALF! AGAIN!!! Couldn't believe what I was looking at. Ordered ANOTHER one, got him, put him in storage.

Haven't touched it since. I'm convinced the figure is cursed.

TFBuyer - G1 Metroplex also suffers from having a crap waist.

A few years ago, before I had my collection locked safely up in my cases, my older sister brought her friend around and her then 10 year old son around. I was out and they sent him upstairs so he could play with my toys. A day or so later, I picked up one of my fave figures - G1 Galvatron (my now departed other sister bought him for me when I was little, and it had enormous sentimental value), and discovered that one of the arms looked like it had been burnt off with a match or something and then carefully balanced on the metal rod that held the arms in place. I still have the toy, as a reminder not to let anyone, ever to touch my TFs again.

I have had a few transformers nightmares, like every time a piece breaks off MP Megatron :BANG_HEAD: now permanently a gun. The worst had to be when I bought MP Starscream and it's wings snapped off the very first time I transformed him. I held the bits in my hands, closed my eyes and thought 'this CANNOT be happening!' it took so much work to repair too.

I can relate to that. Those little pieces on the MP Seeker mold that rotate up above the shoulders in bot mode, well, one broke off after the first transformation. Normally it would snap right back on, but for some reason the peg is larger than the hole on the piece. I tried to shave the peg down but I've never been able to reattach it. It now resides permanently in the box, along with the piece from the other side.

At least you can't notice it unless you're looking for it. Still sucks though.

*EDIT*
I almost forgot about my MP Skywarp. One of the tiny bars on the tail fin that allows it to fold flush broke on one end. He stays in bot mode now, but a least I have a Wal Mart version also if I ever feel like transforming it.

Probably a good idea... the US release of TM Megs suffers from http://tfwiki.net/wiki/GPS. Pick up the Takara version if you can... no GPS breakage, which TM Megs is famous for.

My worst experience: Coming home one day & hearing from my younger brother that he had already sold off all our G1 toys online (for relatively cheap back in the 90's), without my consent... and me not seeing a dime of it. :BOOM:

When i found a G1 Japaneese Megatron at...get this, WALMART! Dead serious, even the bar code was in japaneese so, they told me to name my price, they gave it to me for $14 and I was so excited! I got home played with it for a few days then my dad told me to put all my TFs in a bag...really. I put it in there and most of my TFs where broken. Including that G1 Japaneese Megatron that I found at WALMART! Really, what are the chances you will find a G1 Megatron DIRECTLY from Japan in Walmart? Really? My life has been shyte ever since. Its sitting in my closet at home now, in 2 pieces. The only thing that broke was the gun berrel though. But still! And i lost the scope and all the other accesories that came with it. :CON:

OOh! and another story, just happened to me yesterday! There was a comic book store near my orthodontist where i go ocasionally to get my teeth fixd. They had a Fort Max for $250! it was only missing 1 gun, and it was there for close to 3 years. So, I was planning on getting it for Christmas this year (yeah, thats a long way from now) and i went there yesterday, and someone bought it! Oh well, I guess Ill just have to get one from ebay for $10000000000000000 :CON:

One more thing, this one is more minor though. Me going to see ROTF having the best time of my life (litterally) thinking to myself "there is no way anyone cannot like this movie!" then coming home to read the reviews...

I cried when Ratchet died in the movie ('86) but that wasn't the worst. I passed on Hasbro Tigatron at KB toys because I was sure wally world would have it cheaper. never saw it again. Still not the worst.

Animated Grimlock. I was using an X-acto knife to shave his arms into some sort of correct shape when slip..... Yep. No detail because I don't want to upset anybody but i"ll just say - worst moment ever.

So many:

The end of the Marvel UK comics.

The end of Dreamwave.

IDW getting the licence.

Watching any episode of the Unicron trilogy, especially when Carlos is on the screen.

The first time I watched ROTF. I've come around since and focus on the good (it's in there) but the first time, I left the cinema furious. BY UNICRON'S BEARD, I HATE LEO!!!!

Every time I see another Deluxe CAR or Legend. Couldn't believe it the other day when I picked up KO's of Cybertron Hot Shot (car), Megatron and Movie Barricade, all Basic size and looking nice with my Diaclones and G2 Stormtroopers. Shame about the colours.

Every time one of my beloved G2 bots break. 4 so far, the first obviously was Electro, Mr GPS himself.

When I first got oversized KO Bruticus and Blast Off's arm broke when I transformed him.
