First, I think I may seen a thread like this before, but I can't remember and I'm useless at searching for stuff. Second, we have a thread about which TFs we regret buying, but not about TFs we regret not getting.

So what do you really kick yourself in the butt over for not picking up when you had the chance? For me, it would Cybertron/GF Prime, especially now that I have Wing Saber. I saw Prime everywhere when I started getting back into collecting, but I was focused more on getting the Classics at the time, then the movie stuff came out and now the only place I've seen Prime is my local Gundam model supplier, but he has ridiculous mark-ups on TF goodness.

Probably 20th anniversary Optimus Prime, which was on clearance for $35 several months ago.

Oh, and Cybertron Galvatron, if only because I like the "Batmobile" mode and the color scheme.

I could slag myself for not having a job sooner cuz there have been so many TFs I have wanted and it doesn't pay to wait to get them either.

Pretty much all of the Alternators, they were at retail when I was first getting back into collecting. For some crazy reason I thought 20.00 was too expensive, and now I'm getting them on the secondary market for twice if not three times+ as much. The collecting bug hadn't delivered it's full dose of bank account paralyzing venom at that point.

A better question for me would be, "Which TF's do you regret trading for useless Ninnendo games and baseball cards when you were a kid?" The answer a boatload of G1's. :-x

all of the Altenators line as well as the Armada, Energon and Cybertron lines. I have no idea why, but I stopped collecting after RID and missed them all, wish I hadn't.

All the alternators I saw in store that I didnt buy: Skids, Ricochet, Rumble, Ravage, and extra Jazz (Meister) cuz my stepkids destroyed him. Classics Megatron (Got Henkai Megs on the way but still wanted the Hasbro version)

Man I just realized how long this list will be if I continue. Im gonna go whip myself now.

I do have a feeling that in years to come, I may regret passing over Ultimate BB.

I dont know why, I certainly dont want him now, but I just get the impression that he is going to be a hot item for collectors in a few years.

Masterpiece Starscream. My Wal-Mart had a bunch of them. I had to wait to get paid to pick them up. It was but a couple of days later and they were completely GONE.
As for Alternators, I passed on almost all of them in the store. I then bought most of them for about $10 each on ebay.
I buy a good number of my TFs loose since all of them will be played with and many of them will eventually be bashed into something else.

for years it was g1 soundwave but i got him last year as the tru reissue. i know it's technically soundblaster but i think it's better but one i really regret not buying was armada megatron/galvatron. for a long time my tru had tons of them and i would keep putting off buying him. then on the day i decided to buy him they had non, i swear a month before they had about 20. i don't buy things from net stores so unless i come across him some other way i'm screwed.

I regret not collecting the Armada, Energon and Cybertron lines. Although I didn't think much of the shows after getting back into collecting I really wish I had paid closer attention to their toy lines. I was actually unimpressed with Armada, mostly because of the minicons and so I avoided that series and the other two that followed and didn't collect any transformers for four or five years. But then the movie came along, and I started picking up a few of the figures, then I expanded to Titaniums and Classics and now I'm into collecting full swing again, but I keep looking back at the toy lines I missed and wish I could turn back the clock to get them.

About a year ago on BBTS they had the reissue God Ginrai on clearance, I saw it but didn't get it for some reason - came back the next day and they were all sold out.

Also Titanium G1 Ultra Magnus, Commemorative reissue Prowl, Rodimus Prime & Red Alert have all been passed on and regreted.

I just jump on anything I want straight away now, even if I change my mind latter I can just wait 6 months 'till they're rare in stores and sell it at auction to get more than the original price back.

Movie Dropkick. I saw him in a shop and thought 'he looks cool, I'll check some reviews' and I haven't seen him since.

Other than that I've done well - even though I wasn't collecting between G1 and Classics I managed to get all the MPs and Alts and RIDs at shop prices or less.

I regret missing out on the Cybertron Scrapmetals, would love to have a bunch of those guys and a bunch of Energon Terrorcons to make some drone troops with.
