Oh and for the record, Mortal Kombat 9 has been REFUSED classification in Australia. It will therefore not be released here.

As soon as I saw videos of game play I knew it would be RC'd. We so need a R rating (like 18 in the UK) for games stat. I don't personally play violent games but I believe in the principle that adults should be able to play/watch/read what they like and kids under 18 should be told no.

Good on ya for having the guts to say that. I wish parents today were actually doing their job and learning to say no. Mine did and I turned out ok I waited till I was legal old enough to watch stuff I couldn't when younger.

My parents didn't object to what I watched. I've been watching R rated movies for as long as I can remember and playing violent video games since I was 10ish. None of it ever had a negative affect on me.

You think a three year old is going to get that? They aren't going to understand any of the deeper meanings, they're just going to be scarred for life. You are going to be an awful parent if you think subjecting toddlers to games like Dead Space will have anything other than a massively negative impact.

But atleast they'd be brave enough to sleep with the lights off at my age. I still sleep with a lamp on.
