I would hope that they have fixed some of the "Updates" into the machine before they release the thing.
If I have one complaint that does bug me about Microsoft it is that they don't shout at the makers of call of Duty games for taking the mikey with the size of their updates and should be insisting they 1) Compress them more & 2) put the darn things on the disc so they don't need updating in the 1st pace.
I have the majority of my games on the system that I've installed having less total number of GB used than some of the Update of a COD game have - that is plain silly.
It is one of the things that is more likely to push me towards PC gaming eventually as if the Consoles keep insisting on me wasting data space on things that I don't need to then all advantages of Discs being the format in the 1st place is substantially reduced.
How on earth do they expect people to fit it all in a HDD when they are so slaphappy with the size of such updates and the number of them 1TB wouldn't even last me a year. then what - what am I supposed to do then ?
I don't even know if XBoxOne HDD are swappable or if backing the data up in some way effects its future usability in any detrimental way.
I've already heard horror stories about Updates & DLC tied to a specific console so it all only works on your replacement when signed in online - that is beyond daft. To me that just sounds like an excuse for Microsoft to go data farming more easily.
