Of all the Megatron toys you own, do you have a favorite? For looks, sentimental or any other reason?

The sad thing is I know I'm alone in how I feel about the Classics/Henkei leaders, but I will never stop defending them.

Hey, I like the Classic/Henkei Megatron Mold!
Admittedly I find the colors on the Classics version to resemble that of a Nerf Gun Reject but I digress...
In any case though, I'd have to say my favorite Megatron figure would have to be G1.
Just because it's my favorite pistol.

TF-Animated Leader Megatron is my all-time favourite version of Megs.
I say that not lightly too, because the original First generation toy is the greatest sentimental favourite. Love all three Beast Wars Megatrons. Love the Henkei Classics version as well, but Animated Leader Megs is just too fun a toy!

The answer for Megatrons on general release would be Alternity grey Megatron. But if I can include all Megatrons that I own then the answer is this one cos he's so damn big and mean looking.

Hasbro has yet to release a Megatron figure that fulfils all my evil meglomaniacal transforming robot decepticon leader needs. However in the meantime, my stand in is a Henkei Megatron with his wings modified to be removable. It is fun to transform, solid in both forms, and looks like Megatron in robot form.
The parts that let it down in my opinion are the non-rotatable hands which mean his fist is in a funny position if you want the fusion cannon mounted in a G1-esque fashion, the headsculpt, which is just not quite right, and oh yeah... ...he turns into a freakin Nerf Pistol.

Animated leader Megs is probably my favourite, followed closely by the Henkei voyager and the Alternity diamond black versions...

Revoltech. He's the only G1 cartoon accurate bot mode out there. His cannon is a good size. I don't care thar I can't transform him. I have mine in a glass case and a gun laying there would look odd amungst a bunch of cars. Plus I love the clicking noise on Revoltech joints.

G1.
Like all Microchange figures - he's the best version of the character he portrays. Lovely head sculpt, simple and effective transformation with a believable looking alt-mode. I'm also lucky to have relatively small hands, meaning the undersized pistol-mode is totally comfortable in my hands.

ooooh this is a tough one as i love good old megs...
toy wise i like the G1 or classics henkai... but i dont feel these are the best "character" for megatron as G1toy is a great toy but lame for a character. a gun alt mode just doesnt work for me. in alt mode you either have a gun flying around under its own volition shooting stuff up, which sorry i never liked even as a kid back in the 80s its just stupid. or megs transforms and has to rely on someone else to dish out his power... for a leader? no still lame.
so as far as which toy i like as a representation of megatron leader of the decepticons, well i like leader animated and WFC megs. good representations of megatron and an alt mode that suits. im really looking forward to TF prime megatron, he looks great!
i do also really like alternity megatron to me he repreasents the true leader of the decepticons, giving up his traditional martial form to be truly deceptive taking on a form that is traditionally autobot.
buuuuut i degress.
if i had to choose one i think overall i like WFC megs even if he is a brick with a gun on, but hey that says megs to me...
i kinda like my megs to have a cybertron mode (shows contempt to humanity) a martial, preferably artilery alt mode. and a huge arm cannon, so WFC megs fits the bill. maybe after i get a couple DOTM shockwaves and do some kitbashing i might change my mind...
honerable mention, rotf voyager with som customisation is still one of my favorites.
on a side note my personal army of decepticons are led by WST megs astride G1 ravage...
sorry for the epic folks but hey its my dude! hes gotta have respect!

Re: Your favorite Megatron toy?
WFC Megatron. I love how the 'bot mode invokes so much of his G1 look, yet bulks him up and makes him look significantly more menacing. The alt-mode is fantastic, too. Much as I loved his gun form back in the day, it feels too insubstantial compared to all the other larger, more mobile alt-modes. The "flying tank" suits him perfectly.
While I'm sure it's probably none too popular with a lot of folks, I have to give an honourable mention to Energon Megatron. Despite its simplicity and mediocre articulation (by today's standards), that mold is *still* the best Galvatron that Hasbro has given us thus far.

Re: Your favorite Megatron toy?
Henkei. Though G1 follows closely behind, the single most expensive TF I ever bought back when I got back collecting as an adult. Felt so guilty spending 110 euro on him. Hadn't discovered Ebay then and Forbidden Planet charged criminal prices for the G1 reissues.
I want to like WFC but the head proportions seem squashed for want of a better word and the alt mode is crap. Don't like the paint over the plastic eyes either.
I do have a soft spot for the Actionmaster. He was my first Megatron and being a fan of the Marvel comics, I used to enjoy having him flanked by Ruckus and Crankcase, with AM Soundwave keeping to the background.
He was also the first cartoon accurate Megatron, at least in bot mode. I liked that he and AM Prime looked nice with Defensor, Menasor and the other G1 combiners. Used to enjoy having Shockwave stage coups and send the Firecons after Megatron who leathered them.

i also love the animated leader. and the cybertron galvatron ( i think of it as megatron, his colors are G1) also the war for cybertron megs is pretty cool, he has really good articulation and he is pretty spot on to the game, and his alt modelooks like the landmaster off of star fox

mp-5 is near perfect to me and my favorite figure in my whole collection.
zero visible robot parts in alt mode and an extremely accurate cartoon robot mode.
suffers in the posability dept. and fusion cannon is a bit much but hes still awesome.
