Interesting, he has grey weapons instead of red like Landquake and Skyfall.

Also should note that the text on the site said that he will be Translucent like the previous two figures.

I would't mind having that one. Look nice as part of Superion.

I like the color scheme, but it remains too costly to join the club. Wish they'd just sell them online for like double the price of a retail store basic.

It's tempting, but not enough to make joining the club worth the money. Now, if he were a free toy...

Well... technically it IS a free toy, it's the membership to the club that you're paying for... Just saying... : D

Too bad they'll make him transluscent.

So after him we got one more limb then the torso....any guess on what molds they'll use? I'm guessing on the helicopter from and Bruticus Maximus and then the torso will probley be ... uh, well I'm a guess it'll be the torso from Superion Maximus.

I love that they're transcluscent.

Otherwise, these little guys would be easily lost in my collection. They're different, and as far as redecos go, that's a very good thing.

Well now, I do say. I love the look of Breakaway and it will only get more awsome when we see it with transluscent parts. I had better get my arse in gear and re-subscribe!

Yup that figure has a great paint job to it. Count me in. I also really liked that mold.

I mean to rejoin the club in a few days anyway, it's kinda cool to know they're gonna use the Treadshot/Windrazor mold next. I can see them using the Destructicons' Blackout/Stormcloud mold after that for the next basic, but I wouldn't be so quick to predict the deluxe.

As for the grey weapons.....why change it now?

I haven't really been keeping up on these guys. Have they all been parts from the Superion mold?

Me too! The customer service lady said we have till the 16th of March to resubscribe and still get the free figure, but my ass is doing it on the 8th when I get paid.

The figure is awesome and i can't wait to see the finished combiner. Well I guess we will be waiting till 2009, unless somthing happens to change that.

There are only 3 choices for the torso right? Either way the torso being all see through will be an awesome figure!

ShGarland_1383 wrote:As for the grey weapons.....why change it now?

maybe grey weapons to seperate the feet from the arms?

Yeah, definitely not worth the price of the club. Also think it's too bad that he'll be translucent. He looks fine as pictured.

They aren't realy putting to much effort into these exclusive repaints anymore are they?

Wasn't this guy first release in either black or red?

I was going to say that the blue version is still at Dollar General for $5

I think the weapons are clear not grey. You're just seeing shadowing through the flash and background.

Sweet colors, though the translucencuy did give a "Died and reborn feel" Sweet colors. I just hope it is't Silverbolt as the torso. He's cool, but too unstable in torso mode

To me it would make sense if the torso was from Constructicon Maximus since the Constructicons have been the only team not represented.

I like him a lot!!!

Hoping for the other arm/leg to be a helicopter, and for the torso to be the Bruticus Maximus chest (Onslaught, Mega Octane??? I can't remember).
8)

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Seriously, that would be a crushing disappointment. That torso sucks so bad it hurts. Bruticus's center piece would fit much better.

Though, I'm pretty sure that the 5th piece was supposed to be entirely original. That might just mean a new set of heads, or it might mean a new toy. We'll see in two years.

Soo... the first figure was supposed to include resculpting, but they weren't able to implement the changes in time. But they promised every other figure would include some resculpting.

The second figure was supposed to include resculpting, but they'd incurred some unexpected costs when they used the wrong metal for the molds, and had to start over. But they PROMISED that the next figure would include some new sculpting!

Now the third figure has been revealed. Is anyone else not surprised that it's effectively just another repaint?

As for the future limbs, I'd *personally* like to see the bulldozer sculpt reworked into a dune buggy or armored car of some sort, so the Constructicon combiner has some representation in the overall design (though hoping for a resculpt is probably worthless, I know). As for the torso, I'd have to agree that the Bruticus torso would be best, followed by the Superion one (provided they fixed some of the stability issues with the torso-mode). The Constructicon torso is just... severely lacking.

You're right.

The run-around on all that has been pretty weak.

As long as they come through with a sweet-action Gesalt Leader figure though, I really won't mind.

no, emeraldbeacon, your facts are off. As I have said many, many times before at this point, I misunderstood something from way back when. I thought that the only reason that Skyfall did not get a remolded head was due to time constraints, but cost was also a factor. So when I posted that future club freebie toys would get a new head I was incorrect. When Landquake came around it was cost prohibitive to do a new head and thus he did not get a new head. Furthermore, no one ever said Breakaway would get a new head.

You're right the main combiner was supposed to be either an entirely new mold or a heavily re-molded limb. Don't get me wrong either; I thought the constructicon torso was crap too; in fact I couldn't stand ANY of the combiners.

My guess is the torso part will be a remolded Barricade with a different combiner head. That was the best body of the 3 combiners, & to use one of the others would either be out of place(Steamhammer) or too flimsy & jet-heavy(Stormjet).

Anywho....looks ok. Didn't really care for that mold, honestly. Robot is a bit bland. I'm hoping the next one is the Blackout mold. But perhaps they'll go a different path? I could see them reusing Lanquake's mold only heavily modified. Perhaps make him a single-cannon tank with wheels instead of treads?? Or perhaps something that looks like a bridge-laying vehicle? I dunno. Whatever they do, they'd definately need a different head.
