One interesting point was made at the Q&A, that was stated with the caveat of take that as you will, was that the Wreckers are being "purposefully" left alone. So not sure what that means, but we could all speculate. Feel free to do just that in the Energon Pub, and we will continue to keep you posted on BotCon news!
**EDIT** In from Livio Ramondelli's Twitter account, we have confirmation of a new digital series, called Transformers: Punishment that just reached completion.

Y'know what? I'd be down for that.
Then again, I'd be down for a buttload of Unicron Trilogy homages (still waiting for an Armada Cyclonus from Hunt for the Decepticons Tomahawk)...

Monster High. I've read its been the best selling toy Mattel have released since HotWheels, too. You can't move in my local ToysRUs for bumping into them and last Christmas my local supermarket managed to sell a 5-foot high PALETTE of them in less than a day. I've not seen a toy sell that fast in I don't know how long.
Might want to recheck your quote tree. I was not the one who asked about Mattel. That was chuckdawg1999. I gave the response to him of "Hotwheels."

Cybertron is the only part of the Unicron Trilogy I really stuck with watching, so most of the Unicron Trilogy homages I'd want would be from that. That said, I'd be interested in Armada Wheeljack or Tidal Wave getting an update.

I've been delighted by Windblade so far, and can't wait for more. And I can't help but wonder if Windblade and Chromia might start showing up together outside the IDW comics universe... Among other things, Mairghread Scott worked on Prime, so she might be working on the new show too.

Just noticed something. The theme is combiners, right? Well so far, we're getting a Headmaster, a Megatron with Powerlinx ports, an Optimus Prime that somewhat resembles his Powermaster counterpart (and has been rumored to be a combiner).

It's doesn't transform into a spider or into something even remotely Cybertronian. It turns into a American dirt bike. That worked for Wreck Gar, not for Tarantulas. At least TFCC Depthcharge, Rampage, and Air Razor utilized molds that turned into Cybertronian Jets. Even DOTM Quickstrike (Darksteel) used a concept corvette that was futuristic looking and only made it to prototype stage for the movie. But a dirt bike ? Cmon now...

Seriously? I could see that. After all, the body used for the "Theft of the Golden Disk" short is Cyberetron Ransack's, probably because of the Motorcycle mode of his Transmetal form.
And why must everyone take "Unicron's Spawn" so literally? >:oP

I hope there was a miscommunication somewhere and it's actually supposed to be "Beast Wars: Uprising" Tarantulas, because i checked the "Dawn of Future's Past" comic, and that really doesn't look like how Tarantulas looked in it.

El Duque wrote:Wow, all in all I'm very disappointed by almost everything they revealed.
I don't collect Legends unless scale dictates the characters should be a Legends Class, so I have no interest in that Nemesis Prime, not to mention I'm kinda done with Nemesis Prime in general.
Legends Cliffjumer - Already have a Deluxe with third-party upgrades
Legends Thundercracker - again the scale issue, plus I just got iGear's new Raptor version, which is stupidly amazing.
Legends Windcharger - This one blows my mind. I already have a really good Scout Class Windcharger so that alone means I don't need this guy, but why the Hell not announce a Tailgate redeco of the previously released Scout Windcharger. We're actually going backwards here.
Legends Powerglide - This guy looks good, but I already have the Deluxe sized on from Xtransbots and it's pretty damn good. iGear also has plans to release a Powerglide in the Mini Warrrior line. Still, I might get this guy.
Legends Bombshell - Looks pretty good, but it's not going to replace my FansProject version.
Deluxe Arcee - Looks good, but really late to the party. I currently have iGear's Delicate Warrior, and really like her. Not to mention Perfect Effect has a really good Arcee, and MMC is apparently going to release a whole series of Fembots that look really nice. I may get her just because this will be Hasbro's first attempt at real G1-ish Arcee.
Deluce Chomia - Looks interesting, even though she appears to be an extensive remold of the PRID Arcee mold. Will probably get her.
Voyager Brainstorm - Look really good, but again late to the party. I already have two version of this character, FansProject and Toyworld. I'll probably get him, but if he does't surpass the ToyWorld version once I have him in-hand he'll get sold. Though I do hold out hope, after all, the Hasbro Springer replaced my FansProject Defender.
Voyager Optimus Prime - No, Hell no. Looks terrible, looks worse that the Classics Voyager that came out years ago. Neither of which hold a candle to ToyWorld Orion.
Leader Megatron - Pass. Looks okay at best, but won't scale with my Classics and not as good as ToyWorld Hegemon.
Leader Armada Megatron - This actually works, but I don't need a Generations Armada Megatron. Great for Armada fans though.
Subscription Service 3.0 - Not one of those do I want, not signing up this year.
AOE Stuff - No longer collecting movie universe stuff. In fact selling everything I've got.
Now I'm sure many of you will read this and say, "Oh, he's just one of those third-party superiority complex people." Not the case, I want Hasbro to make things I want. I want to pay Hasbro prices, rather than third-party price. But they have got to start being more proactive. Everything they showed was reactive. Case in point: They teased a Superion Generations combiner. Sorry, but I already have one from TFC, and despite it's flaws will likely be better than their version. A smarter move would have been to have teased a Generations Defensor. It would damage TFC's sales and pre-orders.
However, I do concede that these are great reveals for those not collecting third-party. For me personally though, boring.

James Roberts does a great job with Drift. The problem isn't the character, it's the writer.
And admittedly, I don't think he's the worst. He just needs some coaching, which as a freelancer, IDW isn't going to give him that. He'll get better in time.

I would totally go for clear Optimus. It might still turn out to be that; this is probably a sample or something. If he weren't clear, that OP would just be a mashup between the Takara and Hasbro Leaders... which seems pointless.

That's not clear, it's colored chrome. On the Target exclusive Silver Knight Optimus there are blue chromed parts that totally look clear from the way it reflects light but, upon closer inspection, it's just colored chrome.

I'm with you mate, every one of those Generations figures has a highly superior 3rd party version out or coming out, Hasbro had the chance to do something special here and blow it's 3rd party rivals out of the water, instead the took the quick and easy route, not good enough Hasbro.
Matter of opion.
I for one love the new figures and I had Delicate Warrior and Hegemon.
Do remember that these figures aren't going to cost 100 dollars a pop.

Mindmaster wrote:We got a small taste at what's to come with the on-floor gallery of several of the new Generations toys revealed today, but are you ready for a whole serving? That's right, it's official images time!
First dish of the meal are the Generations Legends figures, whose ranks were reinforced with the arrival of Nemesis Prime (obligatory baddie redeco of the previous Optimus Prime mold) with Spinister(redeco of Bumblebee's partner Blazemaster); Cliffjumper (more than obligatory redeco of the previous Bumblebee mold) with Suppressor (redeco of Optimus Prime's partner Roller); and currently parnter-less Thundercracker, Windcharger, Powerglide, and Bombshell (that's right, he's Bombshell now, no longer Hardshell!)
The next part of the meal encompasses the newly revealed Generations Deluxes, the long-overdue Arcee and Chromia!
Also available on the menu are two entrees of your choosing: Brainstorm (with a functioning Headmaster gimmick!) and Optimus Prime (loosely based on his appearance in the IDW comics)
And finally, to round off the meal, we have double trouble Megatrons! The first Megatron is slavishly Generation One, while the second version of Megatron takes his ques from his Armada counterpart (complete with his classic serrated horns!)
I think I'm going to buy all of these guys, maybe except Cliffjumper.
They look so awsome, can't wait for their release.

Off the top of my head?
Hot Wheels, Matchbox, MOTU, DC Figures License, WWE, Disney Figures License, American Girl, Monster High...
They're #1. I hate to admit it, since I really only collect Transformers, Marvel Legends & Star Wars (in that order), but they are.
I'm surprised. I didn't count their DTC lines and that the DC stuff wasn't moving and Barbie is in a slump. Ah well

I'll take some of that action:
So for these past few major arcs in IDW, there've been three important combiners, Devastator, Superion, and Monstructor. Now the likely hood of the latter very slim, but possible. With that in mind, The figure count for each could Be:
5-6 Deluxes For Devastator, or alternatively, 1 Scramble city Voyager and 4 deluxes to make IDW Devastator, because you know Scrapper died. Now It's unlikely that there will be a prowl Headmaster, so the Voyager, or deluxe, constructicon would likely contain the head.
Superion would be dead simple, 5 Deluxes, or 1 scramble city Voyager and 4 deluxes.
Monstructer's pretty unlikely, though the possibility for him could be 5-6 deluxes, or one Scramble city voyager, 4 deluxes, with one of the Pretender Monsters being cut
With the all deluxe, the number of figures would be 15-16, out of 16. However if there was a return to scramble city format, there would be 12 of the 16 combiner deluxes, and 3 scramble leader voyagers.
