The Bumblebee movie is on our horizon, and the toyline can be found in your local toy store. But what is missing? That is right, the One Step Changers. A staple of... "culture" since Age of Extinction. As is tradition, we have reveals of new Bumblebee Movie inspired One Step Changers, by TakaraTomy. These are for the Turbo Change toyline, which was used after the The Last Knight for simple toys only.

Dengeki Hobby issued an article showcasing these new toys showing:

TC-14 Optimus Prime (reuses engineering from Age of Extinction Galvatron/first Cyberverse Optimus Prime)
TC-15 Barricade (redeco of The Last Knight Barricade)
TC-16 Bumblebee (reuses engineering from first Robots in Disguise Bumblebee)

These guys are clearly meant for the Bumblebee movie based on their designs... except Barricade, who was most likely thrown in due to his presence in the film.

Any shots of Legendary Optimus next to one of the MB Leader Primes or MPM Prime? I want to see how well they scale. He does look good with MPM VW Bee so I might get him just for that.

So is it a 50/50 chance with Soundwave having accessories or was that one incident just an outlier? Because I really want that Soundwave but I want to be sure I'm getting the accessories.

Hmm, shorter than I had hoped. I'm sure he's modern Leader sized, but where he's technically not part of a line with scale (and Japanese-only where they do occasional odd sizes) I had hoped he'd be a little bigger.

Yup, he is, I felt a little ripped off until I saw that he was indeed the same size.

I cant find it now, but another pic shows him to be exactly the same hieght as the AOE leader.

With Halloween come and gone, the holiday shopping season has started and Toysrus is kicking it off with a bang. They have released their holiday catalogue with two weeks of savings. Bumblebee (the character and the movie) is heavily featured both on the cover, with Transformers toys savings in the book and even a full page advertisement in the back for an upcoming event.

The event will feature the appearance of the Beetle car in two Toysrus stores where people can take images, you can see which stores and the times in the image below. As for savings, as can be imagined, they are centered around toylines featuring Bumblebee so Studio Series, the Bumblebee movie and Cyberverse. The savings are around 20-25% off and start today. We have also posted below an image from the catalogue of all the other November events which include Harry Potter workshops and Santa visits.

This is all of course a huge contrast to the quiet relaunch of Toysrus in the US which confirms that at the moment, Geoffrey's Toybox will only be pop up blocks in grocery stores selling only toys under the Toysrus IP (ie. Imaginarium, Journey Girls) and thus unafiliated with Hasbro.

Update: Images of the in store decorations and selection have been added.

It was a regional store in malls called Gadzooks. They always had one half of a replica VW Bug in the stores.

So toy store employees in Canada seem to give a shit as the shelves always seem to be stocked and neat. It's like a whole other country up there.
