As reported here last month, the e-Hobby exclusive Guardian Robot will include a comic booklet. Previews of the artwork are now available on the e-Hobby website.
The colored cover seems to closely resemble the boxart. (The comic book will be in Japanese). The comic book titles this figure “Cybertron Urban Defense Robot Gadep.”
This exclusive figure will be released in September. Click here to see the more.
Has anyone translated the tech spec and Bio yet? Using translation software on the pages puts them in english, but they don't make anymore sense for it.
Why is E-hobby stuff always so expensive? Their stuff is uber cool, but I just can't justify the money. I still really really want a ghost Starscream, but I'm not going to pay $250 for him either.
Acutally, the eHobby exclusives are generally not that expensive when they are first released. eHobby is selling the Guardian Robot for $135 on their site. Exclusives in general have seen a slight price increase as Hasbro and Takara have been asking for more recently.
The problem with the exclusives, including the ones from eHobby is that the secondary market inflate the prices rather quickly. A few years ago, the secondary market inflation was slow to respond. But because of a few popular releases like eHobby Astrotrain and the Botcon sets, the demand for exclusives have gone up dramatically. Now, places like BBTS are taking a much larger cut.
Look at the two exclusive Henkei seekers. They are each retailing at $30 from the source. BBTS is selling each for $75. That is more than a 100% increase
