To me he feel like that mysterious guy who gives help to the protagonist but for some secret agenda of his own that his helping said protagonist will benefit.

Except he was secretly working with Megaligator in taking out Convobat just before helping Magna Convoy go after Straxus. So yeah, he's definitely working both sides similar to Sideways. Thinking about it that Nightbeat Titan Master's head does resemble Armada Sideways' real head slightly, wouldn't be a hard repaint in purple and yellow.

Eh, I saw Megalligator as much as a protagonist as Convobat in that comic as well.

He was a victim of Straxus' experiments, but he was clearly not a hero in the story after revealing ulterior motives and betraying Convobat. I wonder if this will lead to Megalligator getting a new body?

I didn't call him a "hero". The word "protagonist" doesn't always refer to a good guy, just the main guy or guys.

However you want to define it it's clear that "Soundwave" is playing both sides. I'm thinking he'll turn on Magna Convoy as well, maybe take the sword for himself or whoever he may be working for. That'll leave Convobat and Magna Convoy to work together.

In both comics, he's helping the side that's against Straxus. Playing both sides would mean that he'd have helped the antagonist (who is Straxus) in once comic and the protagonist(s) in another, but he doesn't. He only helps one of the main guys on the side that's against Straxus in both comics. He's shifty and mysterious as all get out, yeah, but has so far only provided his support for one of the main protagonist characters going against the same main antagonist of each comic.

Sure, but why help Megalligator instead of Convobat if he's going to turn around and help Magna Convoy later? By playing both sides I mean working with an obvious villain like Megalligator and someone heroic (though vengeful) like Magna Convoy. Though we don't know exactly what kind of support he's providing, we haven't really seen him do anything other than appear in panels.

How many times has this mold been used now? It's still a good figure but damn, some collectors must have whole shelves of it in different colours by now. I still just have the very first one from 10 years ago. Had the Magnus repaint for a while too.

Same here. I've got nemesis and a chromed one too. But when I saw this one I was like wow! It might be the sword. Lol

I said too much, didn't I?

I have no need for this blue Convoy in my life, but with every picture, I want it more.

Damn you, my love for all things Diacloney! You will be the death of my bank account!

I'm down with the Corps.
Is Magna's schtick that he's a cosmic universe cop?

Kinda.

Here's his bio:
Function: Musketeer

Once, when the universe was in an epoch of darkness, the Blue Corps defended the peace. With their blue swords banishing evil, the universe regained its light. However, in the middle of battle, one of them betrayed and killed their leader; the leader-marking blue sword, the Matrix Sword, was stolen and the Corps fell to ruin. But the Blue Will never disappeared. After some tens of thousands of hours, that will and power were entrusted to a new warrior. His name is Magna Convoy. Originally a combat support robot manufactured as a robot with no will of its own, he was abandoned after suffering heavy damage in a past battle, but the leader used the last remnants of his power to give life to a new blue warrior. The blue Knightonium metal that covers Magna Convoy's body carries the vestiges of the leader. Magna Convoy's goal is to recover the stolen Matrix Sword and exact revenge on the traitor Straxus.

It's kinda tempting. I have a KO of the old DIA commander armour and that crappy old KO that resembles this. It'd be kinda nice to have the real thing. It's colours are pretty slick too.

It's also kinda-sorta also related to TF:TM, which is in my purview (Magnus was in his Diaclone colours in an old commercial). Just barely.

Negatives: I have six versions of this mould. I'm also pretty sure the KO armour won't fit well, but that's something I can test.

I love how the foundation is essentially that Straxus and Diaclone Convoy are both blue. Therefore, they must both be part of an ancient organization of warriors that Straxus betrayed a long time ago.
