First Look at Legacy Evolution Medix Box Art

We have an interesting bit of news to bring to you all. Thanks to Seibertronian fonziechavez for this. He recently received his order of Crosscut from Hasbro Pulse, who's a recolor of the Burnout version of the Legacy Skids mold. But as you can clearly see from the pictures below, his Crosscut figure was packed in the wrong box, instead of Crosscut's own. The box and box art belong to Medix, an Autobot brought into Legacy as a G1 version of the character from the Transformers Rescue Bots line. Medix is rumored to be this year's store exclusive for Walgreens, continuing their tradition of having an exclusive with a medical or science theme (Brainstorm, Ratchet, Minerva....(and for some reason, Bluestreak). Check out the pictures below!

As can be clearly seen from these images, Medix is a re-use of the Crankcase version of the Skids/Burnout/Crosscut/Crankcase mold, with the masked head originally used on Burnout from the Velocitron Speedia 500 line. He'll apparently come with translucent red versions of the weapons that originally came with Legacy Elita-1 and Minerva, as well as the grille-gun and pistol from Crankcase.

So what do you all think of this packaging error that gives us a first look at Medix's box? Has anyone else gotten any Legacy figures with similar mistakes? Let us know in the forums and the comments below!

It would have been funny if there was another Dion that's a repaint of the same line's Hot Shot down the road

Funny that Hasbro would "post a spoiler" themselves.

I'll have to hunt down that Medix at my local GameStop.

I love that Medix appears to be the most heavily armed bot in Evolution so far.

Medix: Walgreens exclusive for 2023, sure to be in stores by 2025… ;)

Also, if anyone still wants Minerva, get her while you can:

They're all healing guns, don't worry ;)
Like the various Medi-Guns from Team Fortress 2 heh!

My local target has eight metalhawks in stock for some reason. The only other legacy evolution toys it has had in stock have been one Tarn and one Leo Prime, so that's great.

Thanks for posting. I saw one in the wild a few days ago and tried to go back yesterday and of course it was snatched up. Stores in big cities have a general problem with stocking in the best of circumstances let alone a collectible exclusive or anything like the debacle that has been every walgreen's release. That combined with the rent tax on instore purchases and it's a hard place for the fun of the hunt in collecting in any big city. Makes most places more like museums than viable places to look for stuff to buy in hobbies line tf's. Guess i'll get this one the same way i have every walgreen's exclusive i have.

Well it makes sense if you watched The Transformers: The Movie.

The "military strategist" Prowl and the "weapon specialist" Ironhide each used a single gun while fighting the Decepticons on the shuttle. Yet the medic Ratchet is dual wielding guns while fighting.

So Medix learned a valuable lesson. Two guns aren't enough, so better make it four with two shoulder cannons and maybe a chest cannon?. I mean, you can put a blast effect there to make it look like one. Maybe use one of those barrel extensions from Red Cog to make it official.

Just don't take the Autobot medics lightly.

Has she always been available there or is she newly been restocked there?

It's more annoying that his mold mate, literally called a Triggercon, isn't as well armed as him and should have been. :BANG_HEAD: But then again Walgreens Ratchet also came with a ton of accessories without causing the price to go up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My two copies of Shrapnel arrived even earlier than expected...

Despite my dislike of the non-accurate colors in a few locations, this is a fantastic figure.
I will say the head joint is too tight, but the snug joints everywhere else are very welcomed.

Relatively speaking, it feels so so good to finally have this guy in my collection.
Based on looks alone, he's probably in my top 10 favorite Decepticon characters, and definitely in my top 10 mainline Decepticon figures.

My Prowl got here from Amazon today. Really solid update, only issue I have is the shurikens and how the blades fold out. Other than that, I'm really happy with him. Hope we get Lockdown and others in future

One of mine doesn't open right, but I tried to pry it open instead of rotating it before I read the directions. I assume it's pretty easy to mess up the gear tabs.

The kickstand basically doesn't work, but it's possible I didn't have the alt-mode tabbed in 100% correctly. The main thing I can't get to look right is the foot on the back wheel locking into the underside of the forearms. It's a bikeformer though, that's just how they are.

Fun toy, looks great. He'll probably hang out with Prime Universe Arcee on my shelves, when I get the time and space to set them up properly. One of many deskbots for now.

The kickstand seems to decide whether or not it wants to work at random if I'm honest. And the gears seem to not really like staying lined up, especially because if you roll the wheels in reverse, the blades can get caught and force them out of alignment

My Skyquake and Prowl are due in today, they were the 2 figures i was really looking forward to from this wave.

Oh yes, we are feasting tonight

These 2 guys were the ones from this wave i really wanted, and they so far live up to my hopes.

Prowl is pretty nice in hand. I still wish he had the lithe thighs and skinny face with the chin, but he still is pretty good. I like how they did capture his essence, and I like his head a good bit with the visor, I love visors wit the gold headcrest set against a black helmet like this. Now we need a selects voyager release with the sidecar armor!

Skyquake is also pretty dang good. I like how big he feels, I like how TMII Megatron and Skyquake brought back some bigger style leaders that have such a presence to them. I wish his gun was bigger, and I don't intend to use his sword since he never did and it helps separate him from Dreadwing. I wish whatever change they had to make to his torso hadn't had to happen, since his backpack sticks out some and is angled down, and I also wish his chest maybe wasn't so flat and his butterfly joints were a little stiffer, but he's a dang fun toy. I am very happy to have him

War Dawn set does nothing for me, I would have maybe got Dion had he been a different mold and offered on his own but I don't care about him enough to buy him from a mold I don't like in a two-pack I don't want.

Nacelle I'll probably grab, as he's basically the only Seeker left I would actually want made from the ER mold due to the Thrust wings. I do wonder what else Amazon has in store though, since the JTPrime listing says Nacelle is part of a capsule, but Nacelle himself doesn't fit cleanly into any specific groups or themes I can think of outside of being another Seeker (and being baaaarely in the Welcoming Committee).....unless it's a subline of all FunPub characters? Or they're just gonna retcon him into being part of like the Mayhem Attack Squad or something, considering the current team is already fudging around with subline releases/themes to get Toxitron out.

I did get Skyquake, Crashbar, and Twincast from BBTS 2 weeks ago, and have zero complaints about any of them. Skyquake properly exudes boss character energy, Crashbar is honestly one of my favorite Legacy figures thus far, and Twincast...sure is Twincast, that basically only bought for Rewind, but the colors do look a bit nicer than I expected in-hand.
