I hope if/when I get one it has closed hands, but I'm not going to put extra time/money into making sure.

Arcee of the open hand brings peace and justice- Arcee of the closed hand brings war and destruction- all must fear Arcee of the closed hand

Hmmm interesting.... I like the open handed look better. Gives her a less toy-like appearance.
Surely you could grind down the bottom of the hand so she can hold her weapon better?

I can live with my toys looking like toys.
I prefer closed hands because they're usually molded to look like fists and thus look right whether they're holding something or not, whereas open hands it's usually one or the other, but not both.

I just they'd retool her without the bellybutton and blatent abs. A nice angular faux belly is fine, I get it, but its too human, and I find it distracting for a robot. (Now, on a real girl, rwr rowr...)

I hope it's not because this Arcee figure has thumb issues too.

Stress marks are sure to be expected bro. Good that they improved it. I wonder if the Tomy ones will sport this change?

Anyone have a moment to recap the quality control issues with Brainstorm?
Re: Generations Arcee Variant
(view post)
Mostly has to do with the headmaster's head.
It's on a post attached with a screw. If your not careful with the mechanism that connects with the torso, the headmasters head will break off when you pull. stripping the threads in the neck and severing the head. The head tends to insert to far into the mechanism, and too much force is needed to get it out.
Also sounds like some sloppy residuals from sprew(spell?) separation.

Yikes. Good thing to know ahead of time though, so I can check for mold flash, extra gate, and maybe loosen up the assembly a bit.

Scotty P, if you see this, would you mind explaining?
Mold flash? (is that what you call the "residuals from sprew(spell?) separation?)
Extra Gate?
watching the 2 vid reviews really helped to know what to expect and how to avoid the head issues.
Thanks

I went into a Target today, and they had Generations Springer just sitting there. Do they still sell him in stores regularly, or was this just a very fortunate discovery? Because I was about to buy him online last week for a higher price, but decided against it. So, I'm glad I found him at retail.

Good save! Good thing you didn't pay more.
I see him everywhere still. I have also seen a surplus of
Sandstorm
FoC Grimlock
Gen Blaster, Soundwave, Soundblaster
The last three are all 19.99 at Walmart.

Out of that list, I only ever see Sandstorm and Blaster. No one hardly has anything.

I need an extra FOC grimlock. Wanna make a nice G2 one for the ole G2 shelf.
Given, it would be even better to get one thru the club or Botcon, but as a last resort...
