IDW Publishing's Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall has updated his blog RyallTime with the lineart version of Guido Guidi's cover for the upcoming Transformers Spotlight: Metroplex.

Guido Guidi is providing the alternate cover for the Marcelo Matere drawn comic.

The cover reflects the draft version that was first spotted at the NYCC, as we reported earlier.

Metroplex has certainly been eating his vegetables, and if this cover is anything to go by, will be portrayed as much larger than in previous series.

Spotlight: Metroplex is slated for release in July 2009.

No, I think they finally got the size comparison correct. So often in the cartoon we'd see him in city mode and he's be enormous. But then he'd transform and Blaster would come up to his knee or shin- which makes no sense. If he truly is the size of a city, then I think they got the size right.

In all seriousness, with variant covers like this it is pretty easy to see why IDW finally made it to #3 in the overall comic rankings. With awsome artwork like this these guys have to be making money hand over... what?? Why are you looking at me like that? What did I say?? Dude, that thing better not be @#$%*& loaded...
