HASBRO to announce 2nd QTR financials Monday

The Associated Press is reporting that HASBRO benefitted greatly due to the success of the TRANSFORMERS live action film, but does expect their sales report to be "weak". This prediction comes from the rise in the cost of energy and food prices which has caused consumers to cut back on "discretionary purchases".
HASBRO may have something to say against this prediction. As reported here, dividends on share options are due to be received by stock holders in August. HASBRO has also continued to show strong gains despite the economic regression that has taken place over the last two quarters. Shares rose 39% during the quarter that began on April 1st.
No one will know for sure until the report hits the web on Monday, but all prior reports and increases due suggest a fair announcement.
