The one thing Im not really liking about the I-Gear heads is that they insist on open mouth poses. I prefer a serious face. I ordered the Kup head but dammit this face sculpt looks like he is gagging on energon.

Cybertron Unicron's body perhaps?
*edit*
Nevermind, his head wouldn't have anywhere to go in Alt mode.

The original leader of the Wreckers from the UK comics of the 80s. He made a reapperance in Last Stand of The Wreckers.

Yeah I would say Warpath or Darkmount/Skullgrin for the best mold for Impactor. I have them but would need to find another for the head swap. Well maybe I can do with out a classics Skullgrin.

Has the 'Reflector' repaint of Perceptor been confirmed?
Depending on the colours...

The alt-mode would be wrong but I like your thinking. Proportions would be about right and he'd have the shoulder cannon. You could even swap the inevitably green chestplate for Perceptor's orange one. You might be on to something there.

I'm eager to see what mold they put this on and also if this will be designed for more than one mold (i.e. The e-Hobby Kup head repaint)

But what mold would they copy?

Haha very true.
I just think Impactor is the type of character that deserves his own mold. I love me some Wreckers.

Not sure what mold it would go with. Perhaps even Perceptor? More so with the United version of Perceptor with an Ironhide head?

I could imagine Ironhide with a little work but this is definitely the IDW incarnation of Impactor.

Exactly. Hit the nail on the head.

"A big bomb is coming soon, the middle of May, that's what we said 'Everything will change in 2011' lol Now still a secret project lol"
"No, The big bomb (news)is A new PP products~"
I'm just copying word for word btw, I noticed it reads "products" so I don't know if that means more then one or if that is just poor grammer.
A question was if it was G1 related and the response was, "Definitely, PP series are all about the G1"
"Next figure: Autobot~ "
So hope this helps, or just fuels more speculation.

That would work for me. These 3rd party figs are really getting to be too much between the price and frequency...and that would be a wonderfully easy pass for a change.

You have a point, but I still can't help but be excited about more wreckers things regardless. I am curious to where they are going with this (either make their own new body or let this be a addon kit). I actually hope it's just an add on to something (like the Kup heads) that way I can afford it lol! Besides I'm getting into customizing so nice new head sculpts would look sweet on a customized body.

Hahahaha I like the custom Warpath frenzy_rumble made using the MX Hulk as a base.
I just hope they make a shoulder cannon and a harpoon arm to go along with the head.

I agree. They don't need to get on a trend with the open mouths. I've been thinking, though, and here's what I'd like. Ditch the screwdriver and give me his shoulder mount. Ditch the rather nice iGear box and make me a new arm with his harpoon hand . I think if we have those three things, there are a few molds that may work as a classics Impactor. I would still like to see a complete mold though.
