The black panels near the front wheels in car mode kill me. I'd rather those have been matched to the rest of the vehicle color, even if it that area looked a little off in robot mode.
I'm still going to get these - they're far above the Universe versions of these characters - but that one detail could have made these even better.

I won't be transforming mine for anything other than stop-motion shots.

I don't understand why they have those panels black, even the siege version, it didn't make sense.
Still it looks like most of the parts to make up vehicle mode are new, so that's good. Wish they'd put the spoiler on there though.

Because these black things are on the same sprue as all the other black parts. It's a mass production thing.
Still, it could have been better planned.

Unpaintable plastic, used for structurally important parts. Typically occupies one mold/color of the 4 used.

I’ve got some ideas on how to kitbash Kingdom Red Alert to make him a lot more animation accurate, in color at least. Some of the parts swapping will be easy enough to do, but I could do a much more thorough job if I could dismantle some of the pinned joints safely. Does anyone have some experience with removing and reinstalling the pins on the more recent Generations figures?

Odd, people said it was on the same sprue as the head, and yet the head is a different colour here. This now makes the Selects Deep Cover really nonsensical.

So as some of you may know, I have this long term crazy goal to get one of each variant of the Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet's (as there are 5 variants), as having them all will complete my combiner collection. Well, amazingly I've been making a little progress, but today I hit a snag.
I've received one of the Hand-Foot accessories that was misassembled. Left is misassembled HFG, as opposed to a correct one on the right. It looks like 2 tiny pins would have to be removed and reinserted to correct this. I'm just not sure it is even possible, and if so, what tool should I use? Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you so much.
This should not be a problem. Whst you need is a watch pin remover. It looks like a really thin ice pick. Get the millimeter radius that works with that particular pin.
Here's a video I looked at to help me out

The head is a different sprue and material. Sideswipe and Deep cover make it hard to tell because there are 2 black sprues, one of paintable and one unpaintable.
The wheels, head, flip out ab piece, and the shins are all paintable black. The shoulders, fists, inner structure you can barely see through the windshield and crotch/hips are unpaintable black.
The side by side with Kingdom Red Alert and Siege Sideswipe is how you can tell. Red Alert uses a different color for the parts of Sidswipe that were black but paintable.
Edit: I meant to add that I suspect the wheels themselves might be their own mold that they can mass produce in multiples of 4 and potentially re-use in the future without having to affect the rest of the mold.

OK, just saw a review of Titan Class Autobot Ark (he's out folks!)...
Why is he marked as 15+ instead of 8+ like the rest of his range?

Wait so does the Ark not come with a unique destiny? The card was shown in the Stock photos and when we have cards the Titan usually comes with a unique one. Also there's supposedly 16 different destinies, but only five characters (with three different destinies each) so someone's getting a fourth card so it might as well be the Titan.

Having seen more in hand images, I have some fears for this mold. It seems like the chest is super hollow, even the parts where the shoulders are. It seems to be a lot of empty space in the area where he needs strength.

Perhaps there is a choking hazard with the microfigure?

I guess to show that this is for collectors and not kids. 15+ is the default collector age range across all collectibles. Don't know if that means he won't be getting an in store release.

Transformers Kingdom deluxe Road Rage is coming to Target in the US in the fall. She will be a red card exclusive, at least at first. It could be that people with a Target Red Card will be able to purchase her first and she will become available to pleebs later. Chefatron made a review of this toy so we get our best look yet at the figure. The only change from Tracks is the head. We also have images from the video comparing the two. This should be a Toysrus exclusive in Canada.

Does anyone else have Galvatron or Rodimus Prime on preorder with Target? Mine are now listed as Backordered. Was really looking forward to getting them. I hope it won't be too long.

I think o. supreme hit the nail on the head when he mentioned the Optimus Prime microfigure. That thing could be considered a choking hazard, requiring an upping of the age range.william-james88 wrote:Jelze Bunnycat wrote:OK, just saw a review of Titan Class Autobot Ark (he's out folks!)...

Thank you. Although I *may* have spoke too soon. I don't have Haslab Unicron, but I completely forgot the Centurion Drone pack also has a Micro figure, and the age on it is 8+. Unless perhaps there is a different standard for online exclusives vs something produced for standard retail? Also possibly, the safety guidelines for toys in the United States changed in the last year?
