I don't know about all that, but I love these figures and if they do nothing but G1 I won't complain.

I don't know if it's been covered yet, but I received the Bumblebee/Soundwave set of these from TRU.com today, and on the back of the package, it showed even more of these- Jazz/Thundercracker, and Optimus Prime with Matrix/Unicron.
