Director Michael Bay is planning on doing the IMAX frame filling transfers that lets viewers see top to bottom for the upcoming Blu Ray release of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen.
"We're going to do a special IMAX SKU," said Bay, "where it'll open up for those scenes. You can see top to bottom."
engagdetHD has the scoop on this new information and is looking for your response on the idea.

its a cool idea for sure, loved that Dark Knight did it but i'm curious about something....
while Dark Knight had full scenes done in IMAX, based on what ive read Transformers only has tiny little sequences...so i'm not sure if it there'd be a point.
of course maybe i'm wrong but i saw both in IMAX and i could tell when it switched in Dark Knight ..but i never once noticed it on Transformers.

I really just can't wait to have the DVD or the Blu-Ray. I just want to own the damned movie. BTW, I have no clue what a Blu-Ray player even runs. I guess I'll find out sometime. Anyone have any advise as far as models or brands?

michael bay should plan on retiring from making movies. God i hate that piece of shit. He should be put on death row for revenge of the fallen. The movie still sucked in imax.

The switch between Imax and regular scenes in the Dark knight blu-ray does have prominent differences in Picture quality. Whenever there's a full screen "no black bars" scene you can tell it's from Imax. This was viewed from my 46" Bravia Z on a PS3 "an excellent blu-ray player", so I'm just hoping there would be even more Imax scenes from ROTF coz they're really so awesome to look at indeed.
