Miniture MP Optimus Prime in near future?

ACToys has images of a custom miniature reproduction of Masterpiece Optimus Prime. It is rumored to be released, but no word on whether it will be a very limited run or mass release. This is not an official toy of HASBRO or TakaraTomy.

OPTIMUS MAGNUS wrote:I think the THS Primes were already a pretty tiny "masterpiece". This looks pretty darn cool tho. Love the size comparison to MP Grimlock. Nice.

That's MP Grimlock.

Lol, yeah I was mistaken. FIXED! Lol....I would buy one of these. I wonder if it is die-cast like the MP Prime?

Looks to be about Ultra sized. If I have the cash to spare, it'll be mine. :D

Let me guess, iGear is producing this. It would be fitting: then they'd be giving us an oversized MP trailer and an undersized MP Prime.

Still, very cool-would look great sitting next to City Commander too. Might be a must have.

It will probably cost just as much as a regular sized MP Optimus Prime!

I'm not sure where I stand on this. First instinct is this is just a possibly high-quality, undersized knockoff, and therefore a no-no.

However, isn't that exactly what the WST Dinobots are? I support those...but for some reason I feel worse about this. :-?

Yes Yes YES!!! This is exactly what I've always wanted! I've never cared much for Classics Prime. Not G1-ish enough for me and a tad futuristic looking too. Just imagining this guy with FansProject's trailer . . . . it gives me goosebumps. Plus he'd look pleasantly different from Classics Ultra Magnus. For me the is beyond 'must-have'.

Mmm.. I'm not too keen personally on this miniature-type MP. I would rather have an MP that is quite bigger then the regular mold, that would rock for a Prime. :P

Don't much see the point... I suppose I'd probably pick it up if it were the price of a retail voyager just for the hell of it, but that won't be the case.

The point is he fits in a lot better with the Classics IMHO than Voyager Prime. From what I see, he'll fit in perfectly with the City Commander as Ultra Magnus, MP Grimlock, etc.

Now the only problem is ALL of the Decepticons are one size class too small in Classics...

I like it. But I probably won't like the cost.

Awesome! It even has the same misaligned chest problem as MP Prime.

Very true, but in light of that happening, I'd be all over this.

If they did a Megs in this scale (preferably better engineered that MP megs?) I'd be on that too.

Put me down for a Nemmy and Magnus version of this guy too.

personally, this looks nice...but i already have a masterpeice prime, one with the trailer also, and an ultra magnus mp.... i have a ths-02 and ths-02b.... so why would i want this ? if hasbro or takara would produce it i may consider it, cause frankly the price point would be better.... but unless they make some major imporvements to the mold, like making him super poseable or something, this is more $$$, less bang.... or if they include the trailer and price him like a regular masterpeice figure at about 100...well then im sold
