Posted by LOST Cybertronian Feb 15, 2015 at 3:10pm CST 37,866 views
Let's take a gallery break from the awesome Toy Fair 2015 coverage and bring you images of the Million Publishing exclusive Shouki with Exo-Suit mode Daniel Witwicky. Shouki is a redeco of Classics Astrotrain while Exo-Suit mode Daniel Witwicky is a redeco of Mini-Con Groundspike.

Million Publishing Shouki is an update to the Trainbots' leader who with the rest of the Trainbots make up Raiden in the Japanese Headmasters series. Shouki's space shuttle mode is meant to represent the Decepticon ship The Thunder Arrow from Victory with Daniel diguised as the pilot whose toy was a mail away exclusive but sold by Hasbro as Skystalker with Jet Command Center. Shouki even has a fourth mode Train Bazooka as depicted in the Train Wars manga. Click on any of the images below for the full gallery.

Man, that is such a cool deco for that figure. And with Million Publishing's limitations of no remolding for their exclusives (straight redecos each time), they really put a lot of cool ingenuity into the character and altmode choices that concurrently enhanced the greater narrative of he Japanese cartoon continuity. Well done, Million Publishing, well done indeed. :APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE:

Yeah, well done figure and also too expensive. So I'll sadly pass.

Our subjects for today's gallery are a trio of Decepticons. They include Galvatron, Astrotrain and Octane together in the Hasbro Asia release of Specialists: Decepticons which was available in the Asia market outside Japan. We also get a look at the Henkei release of Octane as well.

The Specialists set features metallic paint and Henkei Octane features chrome like all Henkei figures. If you enjoy these guys hang around for the Specialists: Autobots set. As always, click on the images to see the full gallery.

Probably the best decos available for those moulds, though the metallic paints ups off quite easily, especially Astrotrain's purple - more a display piece than something to play with daily. Still, top work from Hasbro

We brought you the Decepticons last update, time for some Autobots in the ranks of the Seibertron.com galleries! Click on any of the images below to view the full sequence for the Takara Tomy Transformers Gneerations Autobots Specialists set of Ironhide, Hound (with Ravage) and Mirage.

As the title of the set might tip you off, and just like the Decepticon set, the three figures plus one are shinier redecos of the previously released figures from the Henkei/Classics line - you can find the first iteration of the three characters here, here and here. You can stack the boxes of the two sets to connect the lovely new artwork, too,

And they STILL haven't fixed that issue with the heads on the Ironhide/Ratchet molds constantly leaning forward like they're praying....

i just realized CW drag strip looks awfully similar to classics mirage though it might be my imagination unless hasbro is either hinting at stuff or not telling us stuff :HEADHURTS:

Ever seen F-1 racing cars with 6 wheels nowadays?

Seriously though, listings for Generations Mirage, Sunstreaker, Ironhide and Prowl have been found alongside the Protectobot ones. They're rumored to be Stunticon retools and for two of them I can see that :-$

Just my luck. A classics Mirage re-release and it's not only a henkei but part of a three pack, one of which I already have. I'm never going to own that mold. :<

It's NOT Henkei ;) Just a really well done Asian Exclusive Generations release from Hasbro (not Takara)

Imo, the deco differences are worth it on all versions, so if you already have one, this is still a superior update

Edit: still there are people on eBay selling these guys loose, usually misnamed as Henkei releases

Thanks, but with price listings like those it might as well be a henkei. And after a quick ebay search the cheapest I could find loose was at 24 USD plus $20 for shipping from outside the US. I'd be better off buying the newer molds domestically than hunting for one almost a decade old at quadruple it's original retail price. I've spent big dollars on toys before. Most of the time it's not worth it.

After the two sets of Decepticon and Autobot Specialists, Seibertron.com is proud to present new galleries showcasing the Takara Tomy Generations Autobot Warriors trio of Ratchet, Kup and Perceptor!

Differently from the Specialists, the only Henkei! Henkei!/Universe mold redeco is for the medic Ratchet, while grumpy old Kup and the sniper scientist Perceptor were both released under the United line (Japanese counterpart to various Hasbro Generations/Reveal the Shield/Classics monickers). Check out the slick new paintjobs on the three toys, including comparison shots to other versions of the molds, by heading below and clicking on any of the images for the full galleries!
