New Gallery: Masterpiece MP-18B Bluestreak

Posted by Va'al Sep 3, 2015 at 5:44am CDT 43,067 views
We've just seen a batch of in-hand images for the latest redeco of the Nissan Fairlady Z mold from Takara Tomy - but why not take a look at Masterpiece MP-18B Bluestreak in all his glory in our new Seibertron.com galleries? The last (as far as we know) addition to the Datsun streak (heh) of characters, the figure shares the same basic mold as the first Streak and the Tokyo Toy Show 2014 exclusive Silverstreak, with some added Prowl parts for further accuracy - and is also actually blue, a callback to the rare Diaclone predecessor figure.

Any of the images below will take you to the full show, including comparisons with the toys mentioned above, multiple poses, the trademark under-the-foot shot, and much much more. Click away!

Nissan Sentai Datsunger!

Also, bit of trivia about the character this toy represents. He's a different person from G1 Bluestreak, suspected of having come from the Diaclone universe.

I didn't realize until I transformed MP-18S Bluestreak that he has Prowl's robot mode parts to make him look more like the G1 toy.

I'm a fan. I'd rather have a Prowl redeco than a 3rd version of Bluestreak.

I have him on order, and he looks great. My only issue is the Autobot symbol isn't a sticker, so It'll be slightly awkward to display him with Tigertrack or any other future Diaclone MPs.

I knew the head was Prowl's, but what else? The pelvis? Any others? I don't have Prowl.

The pelvis and the head are Prowl's, the car roof is Bluestreak.

I updated the gallery to include several pictures of Bluestreak's coin.

The latest offering from the Seibertron.com gallery machine that is site owner Seibertron is also the latest offering from Hasbro in their Transformers Masterpiece line: MP-07 Starscream!

The figure is a redeco of the original Takara Tomy MP-11 release, and features a couple of tweaks, such as blue nosecone in jet mode, lighter shades of grey, slightly different Decepticon symbols and a stand that can be used for both the jet and robot mode. Click on any of the images below to compare the two toys, and take your time to admire the devious Decepticon lieutenant by following through to the galleries.

Thanks Cobotron! I think I prefer the Hasbro version, surprisingly. The lighter face paint, the blue nosecone, the lighter cockpit, and a few other things make it a winner to me. I like having the crown and other "King Starscream" accessories so I won't be parting with that version either. There are enough differences between the two to warrant an extra one, especially since it's much cheaper than the $200 I paid for the Takara Tomy version a few years ago. :D

Good to know. I never could bring myself to shell out that kinda loot for the Takara version.
I'm super pleased with this Starscream over previous Hasbro Seeker releases, that's for sure.

Another awesome gallery Seibertron! They're my second favorite thing about this site (the first being all the news & updates). :APPLAUSE:

So, the differences between the two Starscreams that I can see are: the jet nosecone color, the slight difference in shades of gray & red plastics (Hasbro's red looks paler & the jet canopy is a deeper yellow on Takara's), and the Takara head looks painted gloss-black while Hasbro's is molded in semi-matte/satin dark charcoal.

I just got the TRU Starscream and he's great; the joints are tighter than my TRU MP Thundercracker's as well. I wonder if MP Skywarp will get yet another Hasbro release in this mold, but I think I'm done collecting the Seeker mold.

I'm really looking forward to MP Shockwave, Hot Rod, and I still hold out hope for Galvatron, Megatron v2, and now Arcee too.

Keep it up with the great galleries, and thanks for making this a fun place!

Much Decepticon.

So Transformer.

Glad I held back on the Takara Starscream now. The Hasbro one looks better

Does anyone know if there are differences between Hasbro's Bluestreak and MP-18?

I don't know first hand, but have read many reports in here, that they are the same.

Here is a report from Seibertron's very own, ScottyP!

Powered Convoy (aka Randy) is really good at noting all the little detail differences between Hasbro and Takara MPs, so he might know.
