Black Friday may be five months and one week away, but why not party early? Hot Rod and Rodimus molds have been painted black and purple, then reiterated into evil clones, or other characters altogether. Oddly enough, these Black Rodimus figures continue to be exclusives time and time again. With this latest entry, Gentei Wildrider, Animated Black Rodimus and G1 Black Hot Rodimus make their way into the illustrious toy galleries of Seibertron.com.
Gentei Wildrider was a 2008 Chara Hobby Show exclusive, using the Classics mold. This year, Animated Black Rodimus was a Hyper Hobby exclusive, and of course, a repaint of Rodimus Minor. And lastly, way back in 2001 the Tokyo Toy Festival offered 1500 Black Hot Rodimus figures. This toy is a straight black redeco of the G1 Hot Rod figure, and even uses the same stickers!
