News just in from the Official Collector's Club panel at Botcon, staff member Razorclaw0000 has confirmed the 2011 Transformers Club exclusive membership figure will be a homage to RID Sideburn. The toy itself will be a blue redeco of Classics Rodimus. Stay tuned for a full panel report!

In addition, the 2011 club exclusives were announced:

  • G2 Ramjet

  • Transtech Cheetor from Animated Blurr



As the panel was closing, Brian Savage made the mention that there will be 300 Punch/Counterpunch figures that will be available for preording within the next few weeks. These figures will only be available to Club members who did NOT purchase a Punch.Counterpunch figure yet, and will be limited to one per person.

What a sweet reversal, and sudden slight overuse of the mold. Wasn't Super Speedbreaker/Red Sideburn repaint the slight homage to Hot Rod?

Well what do you know? Side Burn is turned into Rodimus, now the opposite happens. Same thing happened with Skyquake and Starscream. Maybe more RiD characters will get updated? So far we have:

- Rail Racer (Micromaster)

I think I know someone who'll be happy with G2 Ramjet. But Transtech Cheetor out of Animated Blurr? That came way out of left field. I wonder if we'll get more Transtechs down the line.

Well, I wouldn't say it was totally out of left field. Anyone who has seen the designs for Transtech Cheetor will notice the similarities between it and Animated Blurr. Looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

I had never seen the transtech line before today, but I can definitely see why they chose animated blurr for the cheetor mold. It's almost like they used the transtech prototype to create blurr when the line didn't end up being used. I am looking forward to seeing that one, but not so much about the hot rod/sideburn redeco.... :-?

Crap.. now I need to end up with that by the end of the year. I don't cut it short when it comes to completing Blurr-molds, Hasbro, Takara, exclusives, bring it on.

I've seen some fan repaints of Animated Blurr as Transtech Cheetor, and they were pretty sweet. Should be interesting to see. :)

ok ive never been a TFCC member before, but im getting more tempted by the day with this stuff. if i joined this or next month, would i qualify for the 2011 freebie?

I believe so, since your membership's good for one year, and (I think) March is the cutoff for the exclusive... still being a member by then I think you would qualify.

Did anyone else catch that they couldn't use the Classics Seeker mold because it's in use?

Since the conheads are remolds (And, obviously, they can use Thrust), maybe we'll be seeing a regular release of Thundercracker after all ... or even a Sunstorm.
